First option vs. third option. MVP vs. very good role player. Yes, Embiid’s fourth quarter stats were better than Harris’. But Embiid had 1 1 and 1 in the fourth. Is that something that people should just overlook?

Phoenix:
-Second tax apron kicks in
-Cannot aggregate players in trade (i.e. combine big salaries to get equal value back)
-Can't take back more salary in trade than sent out
-No Mid Level Exception this summer
-Can't trade Beal because of no trade clause
-Basically can only sign minimum contracts, draft picks and their own free agents

Size and strength matters
Its why bigger stronger smallforwards like Lebron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paul Pierce, and Kawhi Leonard have an easier time leading teams to championships than the smaller weaker smallforwards like Paul George, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum.

I wouldn't mind taking the guy who averaged 30, 14, 7 on 67% either. Regardless, the stats don't tell the whole story.

2022 was the worst thing that could have happened to him. Swept first round in the east averaging 26 on 38% shooting and the Warriors go on and win without him, proving Steph to be the common denominator all along. Also proves Westbrick, despite turning himself into a meme recently, was once one of the best second options ever.

His legacy sucks in a narrative sense, but definitely not in a skill/talent sense.
I think Curry is a little overrated and KD is a little underrated if we are being honest and looking past "rangz". I will tell you this, Curry NEVER played better or as good as Lebron did in their matchups. Bron was clearly the superior player. However KD...

Tobias for sure’s been pretty sorry. Not just what you mentioned, but he seems… unmotivated. Weird, you’d think he’d ball out for his contract year. He’s 31 so this might be his last one.
No one thinks he sucks, we’re just holding him to standards we would hold Jokic or Giannis to.

Why would they?
He did 18 on 51% as THIRD option, why do you assume he couldnt be a top 2 player on a playoff team?

This year, he was 8th seed. No play-in.
What season did LeBron team rely on the play-in to make playoffs? For that, you would have to be 9 or 10 seed where the only way in is the play-in and without play-in, you would miss playoffs under traditional rules. Educate yourself.

I will say though, I can't think of a more pivotal on the court moment than KD's toe being on the line in that Bucks series.
The repercussions from that are still being felt to this day. If he takes that shot 6 inches back, the Nets likely win the title, Harden & Kyrie are likely not currently dueling in the playoffs, KD is likely not in...

It bothers me nobody blames Tobias Harris. He misses mid range and layups, can't box out, takes badly contested shots, yet everyone points the finger at Embiid.

KD quite likely has 3 rings if Harden and Kyrie don't get hurt in 2021 and on the heels of a dominant run.
OKC allowing the Wolves to score 5 million points and kill them on the boards isn't really on KD.

There's been a lot of talk of how the Wolves' defense has stopped the Suns but there should be way more talk about how the Wolves' offense couldn't be stopped by the Suns. Phoenix had a good +2.8 rORtg but a horrific +12.5 rDRtg in the series sweep.

Mexico's cartel problems start north of their border. If it weren't for the US insatiable thirst for drugs, there wouldn't be criminals trying to get a piece of that market. No demand = no need to supply. It's capitalism 101. Either the US fixes their internal junkie problem or the US shouldn't meddle in Mexico's internal affairs if they want to...

lol at making a point about how Brown, Williamson, Tatum, are more inducive to winning a title than Doncic.
What about brains? What about balls? Scoring greatness?
You cant just sum players into 4 categories and say they tick it off or not and whoever ticks off more boxes is better.
Life doesnt work that way.

You admitted this thread was about Minny losing vs. Pelicans being good. It's a very thinly veiled Wolves hate thread and you readily admit it.
"Minnesnowta" as you call them are not going far and that was the point of the thread.

A playoff failure his entire life except when he joined an actual championship team (insane move) in the GS safe-haven. Of course balled out when he had huge margin of error.
Whenever it was upon him, he never did well. 2012 and 2021 (no expectations) are the only 2 clean post-seasons.

2023: 2-4 WCSF (could have gotten...

They needed to run actual plays and they needed someone to actually do the playmaking. And Beal or Booker masquerading as PG wasn't it.
