My point is not to trash Jokic. It's simply to call out that he needs more to cement himself. The notion that if he retired today he'd be in anyone's top 10 list is totally absurd

By this logic Nash has more MVPs than most of the guys in his "era". Shaq, Kobe, Garnett, Dirk, Wade, etc. Nobody considers him better than any of those guys in all- time rankings.

I really don't get you. Every Gobert needs a Mitchell et vice versa. That's way teams are built. Just happens that Ant is a better version of the Mitchell type players.
The reality is that neither 5 Mitchells nor 5 Goberts can win.
Where the nuances come in is when you act like Gobert is something he is not. He is no ATG offensive player....

Yep I noticed that as well. When the new generation comes, its like they come all at once. OKC and Shai #1 in West, Tatum/Brown #1 in East. Ant establishing himself as the best 2 way player in the game. Luka's just 25 and coming into his own as a team player. Pacers and Halliburton make it to conf. finals. The old guard didn't make it to...

For his playoff career, Gobert has more turnovers (76) than assists (99). He has had more turnovers than assists in 6 out of his 8 years making the playoffs (including this year), and has never beaten the split by more than 2 total.
Yes, this season and last year are career highs with 2.0 assists per game in 2023 and 1.7 assists in 2024. But,...

Probably because McConnell signed his deal in 2021 and Brown signed in 2023, I think the cap jumped pretty markedly in just those two years IIRC.
TJ also chose to re-sign with the same team, maybe hed have gotten more to go elsewhere but chose not to.

Seems to me they're both the same tier of solid role players. I'd even say TJ is more solid, a guy every team can use whether as backup or main guard.

One of them is 4 years younger, the other is 3 years. I'd say his comparisons are Giannis and Embiid, not the younger guys in their mid 20s.

That graph includes a grand total of 1 series out of 13, totally invalidated now. It's 8-0 and 1-4, that looks so much better now.

Will someone please dig up the thread where 3Ball insisted that the 89 Bulls were a championship team, so adding Jackson as a coach didn’t;t matter.

Just a week ago, you made this pronouncement:
“ SGA and Edwards won't win another game in these playoffs because their simpleton, down-hill brand has been solved... “
That was before OKC won game five, and of course, before MN won games 6 and 7. Like a broken clock, eventually you will be right about something, but almost certainly not for...

It's that time of the year where we die-hards like me start the Fire Snit chants.
This team is not the same team it was the last couple of seasons. I think the Strider injury deflated the hell out of this team. The injuries just somehow affected the psyche of these guys. Outside of Ozuna, no one else is hitting, and time and time again I...

There is no debate. Peak Hakeem is the GOAT two way player.
I believe Russell & Hakeem are #1 and #2 in terms of defense.
Hakeem didn't have the playmaking, but he was an all-time great scorer.

First let’s not overplay 1 offensive rebound lol. Also hilarious you have to talk about all around olay for ant because he scores 10ppg more than his 2nd option in kat. With any other star you disregard any other aspect besides ppg but you can’t for ant this run. You say ant has goat lvl help how can he when his 2nd option scores 10ppg less...

With him, the knicks managed to make it to 50 wins in the rs. Overtaking the cavs and the bucks in the overall standings en route to the 2nd seed. It's nothing short of impressive and og himself has gone deep of the playoffs a few times too.

Ant takes roughly 7-8 3s a game all 4 years of his career so far. Many are contested. MJ would be shooting like 15% with that shot profile.

Lmao at these Stans comparing Jokic to Magic.
Magic literally put the NBA on his shoulders and made it popular with his personality and aura.
Jokic is a straight up shy punk ass bitch.
