For the Bad Boys and the team...he was better than Isiah. Isiah was the playmaking that gave you that boost...but Laimbeer was the guy who you won or lost the games with.
He wasn't as good as Aguirre, Dantely, Isiah, or Dumars but for the Pistons and them winning the title he was the reason.
He is in my opinion the greatest player not in...

I'm not brainwashed your brainwashed. Why yes we do need a foreign policy establishment class, you do understand that if you don't worry about foreign policy and what happens to your neighbors you can end up with y'know World Wars. And this 2025 project of rotating out diplomatic offices with every new administration could led to y'know the...

Jesse Buss is the best scout in the NBA. Obviously the lottery picks are out of his hands as a scout but look at his resume starting in his early 20s. Almost all his late first round, 2nd round and many of his undrafted players have had long careers as valuable contributors.

I don’t believe it. Show me the hard evidence.
All these disparity numbers show is Jordan was getting snubbed on the road. Not the other way around.

You missed a great opportunity to create this thread using your DevBooker'sMask account. Or even your SunsN07BookIt. It would have aligned better with the context/topic of the thread.

Lebron’s 2007 choke gets excused because he was 22 years old in his first final
Therefore it’s established that 22 year olds in their first finals are inherently flawed
Therefore it devalues LeBron’s first Championship as he was now 27 years old with 2 finals already under his belt, in his 9th season, as he faced a 22 and 23 year old...

Imagine believing this.
Caruso for even half a year has more impact than a full year of Giddey.
Amazing pickup.

What is that logic? That only holds up if we’re discrediting the Spurs title for beating a 22 year old Lebron. Which no one does. Though, that title should get discredited because the suns got robbed by the refs.

Everybody should read this article. It goes on about how Chicago's statisticians were awarding MJ steals for dead-ball turnovers, which literally cannot be steals. Things like throwing passes out of bounds or double dribble/travels.

It's going to be interesting if Shai goes down with an injury at some point. Who takes over the playmaking duties? What effect does that have? Will Shai and J-Will be as effective scoring as they were this season with greater playmaking responsibilities?

He needs to set up a direct deposit that wires most of that money directly to Lebron.
Not because he specifically owes Lebron anything, I just personally think every player and coach in the league should do that.
Bron's earned that respect.

Why? They have to blow it up and it looks like theyve finally admitted that to themselves. Caruso no longer fits their timeline regardless.
Giddey was a sixth overall pick. And until a prolonged shooting slump this year he was seen as a rising young star. He's on the short list of a lot of "youngest players to do x, y, or z" records, mostly...

Pippen wrote.
“I saw it over and over, from the first training camp in 1987 to the last victory rally in 1998. Here’s how it worked: Say I deflected the ball and tapped it over to him. I should get credit with the steal, right? Nope. More often than not, the steal went into his column on the stat sheet, and I could do nothing about it.

Everyone in chicago HATES this move.
And nobody even cares about Giddey and the 17yr old.
Nobody believes in his game/potential.
Only way this winds up good is if Chicago knows Caruso will never be healthy for long periods again. Wish they could have traded the cancer that is Lonzo Ball back when people still thought he had a bright...

Assists used to be the calling-card for this sort of thing as well, although I remember examining it myself a little bit and finding the effect to be relatively small compared to expectations.

He's certainly dominant on a per-game/minute basis.
In terms of summed value, not to the top. He's just injured too much, and hasn't taken advantage of the times he's been healthy to get his team over the hump in the playoffs.
That's not shameful or anything, but you aren't adding value if you aren't playing. For a frame of reference,...

Embiid is pretty dominant today. In a much much deeper pool, he's one of the best player. I don't think that can be denied.

Sure. But so are the within-era outputs. In sum at least.
Embiid isn't in the top 250 in total points, total rebounds, and barely (178) in total blocks, with zero rings and zero major playoff team accomplishment.
It's a pair of sliding scales: the less deep the talent pool, the more relatively dominant you should be to hold a certain rank....

Being a mediocre shooter puts you in the higher end of the top 10. Most of the top 10 were dreadful shooters. Bird and Curry are really the only guys arguably in the top 10 who were elite shooters for their eras.
