Remember when OP thought the Suns or Nuggets would make it out of the West this year?
Also Lebron has 4 FMVP which makes him the second best winner of the 3-point era.

16 to 18 points and more rebounds than usual. If there is any kind of late game scenario where he has to set a screen, he is going to dive into the paint like the rim has the antidote.

Refs get paid so well they fear losing status now I bet. It’s too good a job to risk for principle.

He had a million dollar check to close the deal but felt it was going so well he didn’t need the trump card. Gave the nba a chance and it was over. For a million cash and a promise to go to new york(home) he’d have gone ABA.

Probably not. But's not his game. I bet he finishes with around 12 points, 10 boards, a couple of steals or blocks and be a net positive of +5 in the minutes he plays.
The superstars are the ones who need to have a statement game. KAT's nickname needs to have kitty in from of it.

Mutumbo had better touch than Gobert, and even developed a jumper over time. Gobert doesn't even attempt shots outside of 5 feet unless they are end of shot clock heaves.
The rim running opportunities will simply be less for Rudy and it's a logical expectation that his scoring would go down.

Wasn't Kareem about to sign with the ABA, but George Mikan fvucked it all up by forgetting to give Kareem a check he had in his pocket or something like that?

Back when I cared, before his several rings, I always thought that Lebron was missing out of being a GOAT, because he refused to learn and play the post.
Lebron did play the post more in Miami and was effective, but he never really committed to it like Charles Barkley did.
I've always seen Lebron as the next evolution of the Charles Barkley...

If the league didn’t sh!tcan Kenny Mauer during covid, I’d bet he may want to organize something amongst fellow fair-minded refs, that might be equally “for the cause” in this year’s bizarrely officiated playoffs.

You gotta figure he comes out angry. What you thinking? 16 and 17? He can somewhat control the rebound total. I feel like he’s a sensitive type who would want something tangible to show. Might be cutting extra hard on those rolls to the basket

it’s not like he was cheating. He stepped to both coaches before the game and told them to just go try to win and he would stay out of the way. It’s suspected he had done it many times before, but this time some media member overheard it and reported him to the league office while writing his story. Neither coach complained

And that still wasn’t it.
And what turned out to be the last straw he basically decided not to eject two guys after getting the third technicals. They were getting chippy and he gave them a double tech. He later said he didn’t know they already had two. You got extras back then. Refs would hand them out, kind of as a warning.
But he didn’t...

In the late 70s when they started trying to modify defenses against the zones, he thought the rules were too arbitrary and basically left it up to each ref to decide how the game would be played. He didn’t want that. He wanted clearly defined rules that put it in the hands of the players and the coaches. So he just went to the coach of the Hawks...

I’d like to tell you a bit about one of many old-school refs from back before they took shit. A great many have good stories but I’m gonna stick to one.
Richie Powers. He was the head of all NBA officials in the mid to late 70s. The league hated him. The other rest ended up, hating him because he wouldn’t back a strike at one point. But all he...

It's fine to get a complex experience for his first head coaching gig. It's a bad idea If you are seriously trying to win a championship. Fortunately LA is not a serious contender. If he manages to not get fired after a year I'll call it a relative success.

Bud has historically been a good coach rs-wise. It's only in the postseason where he's gotten exposed so hard despite demonstrating how elite he can turn a good team into before it started. Because some people can't help but think that top-seeded teams are going to be dominant all-season long (yes including the playoffs), especially if they got...

Offenses have gotten better.

I don't mind him as the top assistant coach but no as the head coach. It's a recipe for disaster to get him as the head coach with no coaching experience.
