Lets not forget the 1981 FMVP should have been Bird rather than Maxwell. Bird outplayed Maxwell in games 1,2, and 6. Maxwell outplayed Bird in games 4 and 5. So lets take a look at game 3 = a 23 point blowout win for Boston. Maxwell had 19 points, 10 rebounds and zero assists. Bird had 8 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. IMO this game...

I think there's more parallels between Caitlin Clark and Steph than anyone else. Particularly young Steph. It mostly stems from the demo of their fanbase. If they did a real analysis of her fanbase, I think you'd find a huge piece of it comes from younger kids. Middle School or younger. Particularly girls of that age. Steph absolutely...

She's marketable because her game has been described as a "woman's version of Steph Curry" which is easy enough for most people to understand. People get it.
Being white probably helps a bit, but there are other dominant MVP caliber white WNBA players in the past, it didn't move the needle.

I'm just saying Warriors had players who the Lakers could ignore when defending KD & Steph. Shaq would be defending Zaza or Dray/Iggy and leaving them open, and even if those guys make a couple 3s per game the Lakers are still taking the paint away from GS as much as possible.
Warriors could use zone defense to stop the Lakers, but you get...

Warriors should drop 3 guys from the end of the bench and scour the World to find 3 guys who've never heard of basketball but are the best options to deal with Shaq. Then they'd have a better chance.
Anytime a team is going to go small vs Shaq or a team is going to be physical vs the Warriors, the refs become a huge factor. And Shaq a good...

He's crying because he knows that Draymond's going to hell for failing to abide by the rules of God. That he is instead letting his base donkey instincts consume him.

Cs got lucky in that IT situation though, ultimately it was a good thing for them & set them up for this long run.
Had IT signed that extension they would've had to give up some real assets to move on from him tbh. They gave up nothing significant in that Irving trade so it didn't hurt them one bit when Irving left in FA.

So me pointing they were all-star caliber players means I’m comparing them to Shaq? Lol
You got destroyed here and are now trying to save face.

Bro you just need to hold an L comparing the offensive destruction Shaq would inflict vs Rudy or LMA. This is just... flat out embarrassing at this point.

These are the Big Men the 2017 Warriors faced in the playoffs...
Maurice Harkless / Noah Vonleh
Rudy Gobert
LMA
Tristan Thompson
:biggums:
They're obviously an incredibly talented team but they didnt face anybody who could take advantage of their one weakness... which was a puny tiny frontcourt.

They are basically on the same tier. They were opposites of each other in terms of style, Kings loved to move the ball around and the Rockers were more ISO heavy, but still equally effective. Both great teams that would have won the title if it wasn't for injuries/bad officiating.
I personally think the '02 Kings wouldn't stand a chance...

The 2002 Kings were a much better team than the 2018 Rockets especially with Chris Paul hurt. It's just... a joke.
You're actually showing naivety and age here that you don't remember (probably never even watched) Sacramento back then. They were a powerhouse team. The Rockets were one off gimmicky 3pt chuking squad that got hot for a little...

Peak Harden was better than anyone on that '02 Kings roster, but the Kings still came "within a hair" of beating the Lakers.
You see why your logic doesn't make sense?

And the '01 & '02 Lakers don't have basically the same core? :lol
You prop up that Kings team, but fail to mention that 2018 Rockets team won 65 games, had the #1 offense, #6 defense & Harden won MVP.

This is pretty spot on , but I seriously believe Cat will raise the interest and generate more money for the league , than anyone else.
She could become a larry Bird, but her frame is not big to push around the big dikes.
I'd say maybe a pistol Pete ..
I for one likes what she has brought to the league.
