Yea a net negative is still a net negative. Let’s see LeBron play properly like a regular starter who plays defense and plays a team game.

20pts was a lot for anyone back then, almost unheard of for a PG. Plus the way he orchestrated that team and the athleticism was off the chart. A complete unicorn.

"Bu-bu-bu-bu-but he got a DUNK!!!!"
Net negative. Any way you try to slice it, no matter how much damage control you try to do, he's still a net negative.
Truth hurts.

Like I said you don’t get a handicap score for being 40. You don’t get brownie points. In terms of effectiveness, you and I BOTH agree 100 percent that LeBron is a liability.

Imagine MJ doing this at age 40. Curry is 37 and has 1 dunk in the last 6 years.

For age 40, LeBron can sure dunk and his chase down blocks are astounding. His numbers are good. But it doesn’t change the fact that LeBron is a negative plus/minus player. He doesn’t make teams better anymore. He has the highlight plays. But he is a liability out there the majority of the time.
You cannot brag about his stats but choose to...

It really isn't. Giddey averaged 21/11/9 on 50/46/81 splits post-ASB and they went 12 - 7 in those games. He has all-star potential and Bulls are going nowhere without him and refuse to tank.

Curry/MJ would be "off-ball" pretty much the entire time. Jokic/Lebron would be running the offense (they can both space the floor if needed). Duncan is the only one who might have an awkward fit, but his BBIQ/Passing/Defense make up for it.
Honestly any time I think of an all-time starting five, the PF position is the hardest to figure out....

By the time he got to the Nuggets, he wasn't that same player. Utah, possibly part of ATL, maybe.

So what is your actual take?
Anyways
2017 Cavs are the best offensive team in NBA history and would beat 90% of teams that won a championship they got unlucky and ran into the greatest team of all time
Curry deserved finals MVP in both 2015 & 2017
The top Euro league teams can beat the top NBA teams in a 7 game series

I see 3ball triggered the usual cast of Bronie fluffers with FACTS.

Joker has never played next to a big like Duncan who doesn't shoot 3s. The time I saw him share the floor with Plumlee years ago, the Nuggets were worse for it. He's always been best with a small ball 4: Milsap, Grant, Gordon.
MJ and Lebron trying to fit will be clunky. You're right, they are all smart, but I think the offense would be very...

I think if Giddey plays like he did to finish the season after they traded off LaVine, he is absolutely worth around $30M. But the concept of bidding against yourself needs to be a driving factor in negotiations, and the Bulls are taking advantage of that fact.

Were those games in the Finals and was LeBron having an all-time meltdown in those games? I’m talking about 2011, not 2012.
He also has a 16-10 record vs Dirk and that didn’t matter at all.

Well it comes down to situations where you decide between alienating a player, paying a player what the market dictates, or overpaying early.
Suggs, Giddey and Kuminga all came out of the same draft, picked consecutively 5th, 6th, 7th. The Magic paid Suggs early and in all likelihood paid more than either Giddey or Kuminga will earn. Some are...

Lebron is 16-6 against Kobe. You untalented Gook. If the Lakers made it into the NBA finals in 2012. Heat in 5.

For one thing, bad knees or not, he should have won the 2006 MVP. And if that vote was done anytime in the last 10 years, he would’ve won the same way Westbrook won over Harden and the same way Jokic won as a below 50 win team in 2022.
So if that changed and everything else stayed the same except for 1 season, the season that could’ve been...
