its not a question of STACKED!
Its really a question of SUPER!
Magic's LAL were STACKED. Bird's BOS were STACKED.
Chris Bosh was Raptors leader and Franchise and legit 24 ppg 11 rpg All Star before joining LBJ at age 26.
LBJ's Ball Dominance style reduced Bosh to 16 PPG 6 RPG do not mean Bosh is any less.

Lmao. You literally said it only takes 400 people for the NBA to generate billions. That’s just objectively and verifiably false.

Luka is the Problem
Luka will remain a Problem because he cannot play a WHOLE game!
getting 28 pts in 1st half is easier. Legs are fresher. Pressure is less.
I'll take Dr Brown's 24 Pts in 2nd Half which is much tougher in a winning effort.
And I always sick of LBJ complaining to refs entire game.

A Tub of Lard, out of shape, questionable stamina, slow mo superstar loosing ANY year is good for the NBA.
If Luka wins FMVP and Mavs win, Pelicans can never tell Zion to loose weight to win title.
overweight Zion is more talented, explosive, quicker, better foot work version of Luka

Yea they went on a run a got up 20 on the road - they were scoring every possession for a stretch there and put the game away.. it's always the opponents that have superior spurtability while Luka and Lebron's teammates underperform within their team's weaker chemistry & ball movement
Now that I addressed your deflection, why don't you address...

I think their "stackedness" is fairly comparable to a team like the Bad Boys, although of course the approach and team construction is different. One guy bordering on elite but not quite up with the true top guys, another great swiss-army knife-type guy, and several role players each capable of being the best or most impactful guy on any given...

Lebron was 1st team defense and MVP for a short period of 5 years (09-14').
Otoh, only Jordan reached a peak of MVP/1st team defense/scoring champ and maintained that level for 10 years (88-98')
So MJ is the only guy that played goat offense, goat defense and MVP caliber throughout a 10-year period (88-98')

Peak = how well you played ball
Longevity = how long you played ball
I'll go with peak (how well you played ball) in determining the best ballplayer... Seems to make sense

Larry Bird did One better.
3 MVP in 3 Years
2 MVP Sweeps (MVP + FMVP in same year) in 3 Years
2 FMVPs in 3 Years
LePEDs did 5 MVPs in 5 Yrs. and he needed a SUPER team and open, weakest Eastern Conference
Bird, Top 5 GOATs, actually did 5 MVPs in 3 Years!. STACKED team. Yes. Toughest of Tough Eastern Conference.

Hunting Luka on defense (iso-ball) isn't a great brand of ball that would get blown away by better brand of ball like if the Mavs had a prime-Curry or Jokic brand of ball..
Here's a couple realities.. Firstly, everyone is picking on Luka's defense as the scapegoat to explain why their pick was so wrong - many people had Dallas easily winning...

Nowhere am I contradicting myself. Do you struggle with the English language? You can't compete for an NBA championship without a high talent level. All-time great talent is a higher level than that, and the Celtics, as a team with 1 All-NBA player and no one in even the top 5 MVP votes. Which Celtics made the top 75 list, if this is one of the...

It's Brown for sure.
It's a Kawhi FMVP in itself, just containing Luka/Lebron is enough.
Would he have deserved it on a less stacked team? Probably not. Same with Kawhi on Spurs, that FMVP should probably have been Duncan's, but Spurs would have lost without Kawhi's defense on Lebron.

He might whine and moan, but he's not actually throwing anyone under the bus, instead improving himself.
You're right that the Timberwolves series was his high point this playoffs.
Everyone says it's about conditioning and it is, but it's also about playing in ways to preserve energy while trusting teammates more.
I'd like to see Luka,...

Not only that. MJ actually did it in 3 years. Twice. I thought for sure someone would have corrected him by now but it looks like no one cares about what he posts.

Lebron hasn't played defense since 2016 though and arguably not high level since 2012.
The difference is that Lebron has always been able to give defensive effort an entire game while still having offense in the tank.
Luka definitely can play defense very well now, but not for a full game. In Game 2, you actually saw Luka play defense in the...

I think people have really forgotten just how good the '96 Sonics were. Aside from having a big 3 in Kemp/GP/Schrempf, they had McMillan and Askew off the bench who were great defensive players, particularly McMillan who was a DPOY vote getter in prior seasons and a 2x All-Defensive selection.
In addition, Hersey Hawkins was their 4th option....

I hate when idiots follow me around. I have been saying the Celtics are highly talented for years now. What you are incapable of understanding is that there is a difference between being highly talented and being one of the most talented teams of all time. If a team only gets one All-NBA player (I disagreed with that, but that's just my opinion)...

I think they're 1-5 is as good as there has been in several years. When completely healthy all of them are top 50ish players in the league. One guy in top 10, another top 15-20.
There is no weakness from anyone when discussing shooting, ball-handling/creating, and defense.
I don't know that "superteam" is the correct term because there...

Is that the game we're playing (lol) - where we cherry pick? Do you think Lebron would trade his 5 mvps in 5 years for MJ's 6 rings/6 FMVPs/4 MVPs in 8 years? In a heartbeat.

I don't quite follow your question. Are you asking how did they end up where they did if not for longevity? Or without it?
As for just retiring, then Kareem had just retired, too.

I'm not sure why this belief exists. I don't recall that being the primary reason after he retired. It makes sense during his career, and maybe even immediately after. But the late 90s or through the 2000s? I don't recall any of that. And at no point were even his most of his fellow players giving him that nod.
I always recalled Russell,...
