Well, I still want to put somewhat old-time leaders in this draft, the thing is Jesus wasn't a political power, so he'd be undraftable. I would only consider political powers to be those who ruled (or helped rule) a country politically (Bush, Putin, etc.) or were ever involved in politics (like political rebels and revolutionaries). But not guys who weren't involved in politics (or guys who had a minimal role), like Newton, Da Vinci, Einstein, Jordan, etc.

Jesus was the great prophet, but he had some Political influence because during that time because Israel was under the regime of the Roman Empire, and they are afraid that someone will revolt againts them because Jesus Christ was a direct descendant of King David.

He's the heir to the throne because the Israelite still respect David because he's the one, who defeated the Philistines, and reunited the Kingdom after King Saul and his son Jonathan was killed in a battle.

The Jewish people wanted someone, who will help them in restoring the Kingdom in Israel, and one of the reason that Jesus Christ was crucified is because he's a powerful man.

We all know about FDR. Took over as president when the country was in the Great Depression, was the only president to serve four terms, through WW2

I picked FDR because he has the courage to innovate and try new tactics (New Deal) to try to get the country out of a tough place, even if they aren't all successful, it is key to have a statesman that innovates.

Also, FDR knows when a sacrifice is necessary. Knowing that the attack on Pearl Harbor was imminent, he didn't try to stop it because he knew entering the war was necessary.

Furthermore, FDR has the courage and charisma to lead the country through some of the most disastrous times in its history.

Spartans also relied on Helot slavery for their economy, it casued their eventual downfall. I doubt he would have much ability when it came to managing an economy or politics for that matter. As i said earlier, he gained power through heritage, not election.

Leonidas ferocity and ability to motivate his troops and people is why he is worth the pick. Only a few guys in history could stir up the populous like Leonidas did. William Wallace comes to mind. Also I got a steal in the third, Hannibal is the GOAT general.

Kings have advisors. For example, Leonidas might only be skilled in hoplite warfare, but that's why I have Hannibal. I don't think there could be a better minister of defense than he. Leonidas is an amazing figurehead. The people will be proud to have him as their king. That could work, and i don't doubt Hannibals ability and versatility. Though i don't see why you didn't take someone equally as passionate as Leonidas but with more all around experience. Julius Caesar, for example, is credited as the second best orator in the old Roman republic after Cicero. He also managed to maintain control in Rome even when he was in Gaul by taking advantage of the tribunate position. He won 4 major military campaigns, one lasting 10 years in Gaul, one in North Africa, one in Egypt and most famously defeating Romes own Pompey. And was elected dictator (wierd that its an electable position) for life. Thats a hell of a lot more credentials in a hell of a lot more areas than Leonidas, who is best known for a single battle.
Been fun arguing, haven't thought about this stuff since ancient history in high school.

Hernan's tactics would only work on the Aztecs, because he was basically their perfect counter.The year Cortez landed was also the year the Aztec prophecies predicted that their god would come down with furry faces and riding strange beasts. In comes Cortez, a dude with a beard and riding an animal never before seen by the Aztecs, so the Aztecs took him in as a god. Hernan exploited this to kidnap Montezuma and get a room full of gold for ransom. Also, the Aztecs were scared of gun shots. Hernan Cortez would not be able to conquer any other civilization in the world than the Aztecs. It's a complete fluke that they met up.
