HAHAHAHA my goodness.. this is total lack of knowledge if i ever saw such. RICKY RUBIO HYPED OUT OF THE SCHOOL? RR has been PRO for 5 years already and hes currently killing the competition overseas against grown men, some of them elite players who would have an impact in the nba and you are telling me that THE JOHN WHALL man is already better than him or others who are proven pros ? :lol you gotta be kidding me. Rubio was so outstanding at 14 / 15 y.o. that he never played against guys of his age and his IQ is trillion miles ahead of your lovely JW. From a game basics point of view , Rubio is already a mature and grown player whereas Wall is just flash and selfishness, not the best qualities for a star pg. If he went overseas as Jennings did he would be raped day in day out
Out of that list , Rose deserves to be at the top and till proven otherwise it looks like it will keep like this for a while...

meh. if Wade didn't push off that play would be up there with Allen Iverson on MJ, but since he did doesn't get as much noise as it should.

I will start off by saying that Derrick rose is fantastic. Wall will be very good but this isn't a valid reason for why he won't be better than Rose. Tyrus Thomas and Glen Davis lead his team to Championship as well, Lamarcus Aldridge didn't but we all know who is the better player
And they lost to a team with three pro players Brewer, Noah, and Horford.

17 year old Tony Wroten Jr. going to ***** on all those players you named above. I watched this kid play before, I have been watching basketball more than 90% of the losers on ISH like yourself might I add and he is one of those "really special players." He is the improved left handed version of Dwyane Wade in my opinion. Very rare talent, his name is Tony Wroten Jr. You'll here of him in 2 years.
He is the only young player other than Kevin Durant that i am actually scared of that has the potential in his prime to be better than OJ " 6'4 Mamba" Mayo.

I guess you're to cross to realize that when someone is debating one side of a topic, they don't tend to support the opposition.
I do recognize the star potential of the kid. Have you not read the posts here where I praised his passing ability, vision, athleticism, and speed?
I really respect his play VS. UCONN too I think those were probably the toughest guards they faced all year.
I still liken his game/demeanor to J. Crawford....very flashy, very explosive [Wall being the more explosive of course] yet very mistake prone...I don't see him being a full time PG....I see him as a 2 guard.
I love fancy plays and flashy moves but your PG needds to make the simple/easy play most of the time.....I think Bledsoe is more of a true PG than Wall.
?
I do realize that you aren't going to under cut your argument by siding with the oppositions view points but that doesn't mean I'm banned from providing a differing opinion from you. It has nothing to do with me being cross. Oh and I don't come into the NBA forum often so no I've never seen you praise Wall.
I think John Wall just doesn't know how to play the game properly as a point guard. He has always been fast/quicker than everyone he's ever played against so him going at breakneck speeds 24/7 worked. Now that he is playing people that can challenge him he is mistake prone because he plays too fast and get into bad spots because he doesn't understand the pace of the game. That's why Rose has been so good. He is never rushed and makes other play at his pace instead of rushing his movements and the offense.
Wall will struggle intitially the same way Russell Westbrook did when he was learning the nuances of the point guard position. He'll show flashes of potential and also make a lot of mistakes. He just needs to know when to reign it in a little and learn how to control the pace and play at the right tempo.

With the lottery over. John Wall has found a new home in DC. Close by where he grew up in NC. He will change that sorry franchise around, Rookie of the Year before it began.
Mama, there goes that Man !!!

Can't wait for the Rose vs Wall arguments. Probably start up after the first game of the season.

Don't forget Tyreke Evans.
It'll mostly be wall vs rose because they'll play at least 3 times a season.

i wonder what nets fans fell like. they were so sure they were going to get the #1 pick. They forget they only have 25% of getting it.

Fair enough.
I have praised Wall I think he has a lot of potentil but his game has a lot of holes in it from what I see.
+His straight-line speed is impressive
+Nice hops
+Great length
+Awesome lob passer
+Unselfish
+Great off ball defender
+Good nose for the ball
+Seems unafraid of the spotlight
But there are a few glaring negatives that people don't see that make me believe he isn't the best player in the draft.
-The form on his shot looks a little janky it doesn't look the same every time.
-He hasn't shown me top notch touch around the basket.
-He doesn't seem to work well in the half court.
-His on ball defense is in question.
-He doesn't seem like he has elite level quickness to me [and I could be wrong] he seems like more of a straight line runner. Which is not a bad talent to have, just an observation.
-His attitude about being coached and being challenged is still in question in my book.
These are honest assessments. If I look at TOTAL packages I would honestly take Turner over Wall. Turner is a better basketball player as of right now. We might be looking at a Brandon Roy like player with sicker handles. But who knows? John Wall might be a shorter, faster version of Penny.
Did John Wall impress more than Penny in college to you guys?
