yep, all true, but if you know sneakers than you know what is hot and what isn't.

this draft is also a chance for the sneakerhead or collector to get some fresh ideas and maybe some insight on some kicks they may not have thought of before.

for example:

"Wow, Stro took XXXXX in round three, judging by the picture they look really nice, might have to cop me a pair."

that is the kind of shit I am looking at taking away from this.

and RE your earlier question, opening the draft up to loafers and boots etc... might be a bit much. If someone drafts a pair of Solomon hiking boots or something of that ilk for one of their open slots it's cool, but we want to keep it in the athletic realm.


regarding Dat's pick, I quoted the reference I made to hiking boots.

To my knowledge Timberland's aren't truly hiking boots, but if Dat can argue they are and they belong in the athletic realm, they can stay.

There was a pair of converses that I saw like 2 years ago on ebay, from like 1995 that looked shit brown like the ones you picked but they were even worse. I tried to find them again, but no luck.

man this draft is fun for me and easily one of the better drafts on ish in a while. Not really too many problems (other than my boot thing) it went pretty smooth. I love the nostalgia of the draft also brought back some great memories and some shoes that i will be looking to pick up in the near future. When everybody was rockin the Jordan Vs I rocked these ones. Back then I went to a really rich school and the Vs retailed for over 100. My parents couldn't keep up so they copped me the Flames for about $60. I got tons of compliments for them.
These were the pair i wanted to pick before Dash beta me to the punch.
I always thought the Catapults were the most classic in the line.

BTW, the Flames were endorsed by Kareem and Micheal Jackson.
