Earlier this month, O'Neal announced his intentions to become a human statue during a radio appearance on the "Toucher & Rich" morning show on 98.5 the Sports Hub and those intrigued have been waiting for him to tweet the date it would occur.
About a half-hour before his appearance Thursday, he tweeted a message about his stunt, bringing a flurry of foot traffic to the already-bustling Harvard Square. The crowd only grew after O'Neal's arrival.
Missing were his teammates, who could only shake their heads when informed of O'Neal's plan earlier this month.
"What's he going to do?" asked Celtics captain Paul Pierce. "He's just going to sit there? Somebody get a picture of that and tweet it."
It's likely that thousands did. Camera phones were snapping away nonstop during O'Neal's visit.
When Kevin Garnett was asked if he'd come out for the festivities, he playfully scoffed at the idea.
"Absolutely not," said Garnett. "I will not be taking pictures of Shaq with bird [expletive] and all types of other people taking pictures. I'm cool. I see him in here; I'll take my pictures around here."

Shaq is the man. As for KG and Pierce, SMH... lame-os.

I haven't seen any videos of DeAndre Jordan getting dunked on. What game was it? The Kings game from two days ago?
Yes it was during the Kings game. Pretty nice dunk
I just watched the game recaps on nba.com, and somebody dunked on Bosh too.

Actually sort of a tough call. I liked Durant's double pump though it did not go down with heavy authority. It's hard to deny Green's old school facial though.

-Highlight Recap: Aside from the first two plays, a pretty nice top 10 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZUivRAESuE). The OKC Thunder pretty much owned that countdown. Also check out the Heat/Hawks highlights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=830AxkRsdJg), some pretty sick plays in there including a very nice behind the back crossover by LeBron.
-The preseason bores Yao Ming (http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/ap/a2/fullj.e9043c7de647675590531575afe7241b/86851dd2d6ff40f9b0054624028f2557.jpg). He's ready to get to the regular season so he can play his 12 minutes a game (or however many minutes it is that he's limited to) and most likely get hurt about half-way through the season. I hate to say it because I admire how hard he competes, but I just have no faith in the guy's ability to make it through a season anymore. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.
-Stephen Curry left the game vs. the Lakers last night after turning his ankle, but from what I have read it doesn't seem serious. The Lakers, minus Phil and Kobe, won the game by 21 points. Steve Blake dropped 18 points off the bench on 8-10 from the floor.
-Maria Sharapova and Sasha Vujacic are apparently engaged (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Arf3XcF4XiN1XsOlgRF8xi68vLYF?slug=ap-vujacic-sharapovaengagement). I personally think that she probably could've had a better NBA player than The Machine (it would be hard to choose a worse one), but who knows, maybe he's a good dude. Based on his on-court antics he seems rather annoying, though. The dude sucks yet he never shuts the f@ck up.
-Chris Andersen or Kenyon Martin or ANYBODY who plays PF for Denver needs to get better soon, because right now Shelden Williams is starting. My f@cking team is falling apart, first the franchise player wants to leave and now Shelden Williams is a starter. Jesus. Can't they just start Melvin Ely? Anyone but The Forehead. Please.
-David Stern wants to slice about $800 million off of the total money paid to the players every year, and he is also considering deleting a team or two from the league (http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/10/22/1887223/stern-addresses-contraction-salary.html). Rajon Rondo seems to think there will be a lockout, and says he is saving money (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AqSomdX8_nEHrXuIhMWQkVy8vLYF?slug=ap-nbalabor-rondo). My words to both parties, David and the Players Association: Do whatever it is you've got to do, but please no lockout. What the f@ck am I supposed to do in the scenario of an NBA lockout? Think about that.
-Von Wafer has beaten out Stephane Lasme for the final roster spot on the Boston Celtics (http://hardwoodhoudini.com/2010/10/21/von-is-the-one/). I have watched quite a few C's games this preseason, and I know these two were competing for that spot, so this kind of interests me. I think Lasme looked pretty good, he's a great athlete, and I hope some team gives him a chance. As for Von, I think he's a good player. He can definitely score. I like him and I'm glad he made a team, he's a legit NBA player.

ALSO: I'm a big fan of giving the people what they want, so I have decided to add DeMar DeRozan's dunk on Big Baby to the list. I still think that based on the rules I set up last season that it doesn't really qualify, but I definitely seem to be in the minority there so I'll throw it on the list.

-Highlight Recap: Top 10 plays. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFb5TOOuHWA) Taj Gibson putback slam. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmgKSAiUPx0) I guess that's it, kinda weak, but I'll make up for it with lots of lowlights.
-Lowlight Recap: A couple of Kings get schooled by Ronnie Price and Kyrylo Fesenko, then trip over each other and fall. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEOZEyt3GQM) (1:38) Next up, Darko Milicic bangs down a nice alley oop slam, but then gets a little too excited and wrecks himself trying to swing on the rim. Adding insult to injury, he got a T in the process (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izfpLn1-zeM). (:35) Last but not least, Brandan Wright air-mails what would've been a game winning layup (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB71KqdDpik). The Lakers ended up winning the game in OT.
-The Denver Nuggets, with Melo/Billups/Nene resting scored 144 points on the PHX Suns, who actually played most of their usual guys. Five players on Denver went for 20+, a couple of the names might make you LOL: Anthony Carter, Ty Lawson, Shelden Williams, Gary Forbes, and Aaron Afflolo. Afflolo was one board short of a triple dip.
-Kyrylo Fesenko went beast-mode on the Sacramento Kings, scoring 12 points on 6-6 shooting in just 17 minutes of work. He also had 5 rebounds. The Jazz won the game, making them 8-0 on the preseason (first undefeated preseason in franchise history). Jerry Sloan couldn't care less (http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22748484/25418268). I'm still rooting for Jerry to get that COY award... maybe this year... but probably not, because the Jazz never suck, and in order to get COY, it seems that your team has to suck for atleast one season.
-Speaking of undefeated preseasons, there was one other team that pulled it off: The Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis beat Detroit last night boosting them to 7-0. For a young team like the Grizzlies I think this is a great thing, it should be a nice confidence booster to start the regular season.
-The Miami Heat have replaced the injured Mike Miller with... guess who... Jerry Stackhouse (http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/10/23/jerry-stackhouse-joins-the-miami-heat/)! I thought Stack was pretty good with the Bucks last year, not a bad signing I suppose. I didn't realize that Stack is only 35 years old, I thought he was like 47 or something.
-The Heat/Magic game was cancelled last night due to the floor being very slippery (http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22748484/25408975). Apparently they cleaned it with some sh!t that made the surface more suitable for ice hockey than basketball.
-Monta Ellis dropped 41 points last night, the most of the preseason by any player, topping Amare's 39.
-ROFLMAO (http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/09/fullj.bf8dfacfafa76b0318e38ab177e97bb3/bf8dfacfafa76b0318e38ab177e97bb3-getty-103891551cp005_denver_nugge.jpg).

No disrespect to Hubie Brown, but how he went 42-40 with this roster (http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/UTA/2004.html) and didn't win the award is beyond me. People were predicting that team to break the 9-73 record before the season started.
