View Full Version : Lebron : "I'd be prime Jordan 1 on 1" LOL

To be fair, the majority of one on one's take place in mid range and/or 3p range because the majority of players are not good enough to get to the basket, AND think they're good enough to shoot 3's.
To be fair, Bron can't dribble, has any moves, has a slow first step and is very predictable.

The same could be said either way, these are 2 all time greats. Both very competitive.
The same couldn't be said about LeBron - no. He isn't the isolation player, or 1-on-1 phenom Jordan is. This is what you continuously fail to recognize.

How the hell does he score at an all time great level then, you imbecile?

Well in the same spirit then you have to feel Mj wasn't fast enough for it to be a clear advantage either, because his speed advantage is lesser than the strength advantage?
LOL! MJ's quickness, footwork, IQ, overall 1on1 skills would be too much for lebron to handle. The gap is too great compared to lebron's strength advantage. Jordan isn't a weak and small 6'0 dude, he is 6'6" and at 215 lbs in his prime same as iggy. MJ is also a superior defender, lebron isn't going to blow by MJ with that ugly ass ball handling crab dribbles. You stupid stans never learn but yeah sure let's keep acting like lebron is Shaq-level unstoppable. :whatever:

Get off the pipe bro, prime mj was 215 or below depending on the particular time you would consider prime. Lebron has been pegged at 260 and above for years now but at worst let's say 245, rookie weight. That's at least 30 lbs heavier and at best who knows maybe 50 lbs plus. That is really significant if you're talking about man to man strength. If someone stronger than you chose to back you down there's almost nothing you can do about it but foul. Why in the hell do you think help is sent instantly most times when a smaller player gets caught in the post? There's a very logical reason. Also there would be no 5 Second back down rule to protect the smaller player either, he could literally check the ball and back down from the 3 point line if Mj troubled him that much otherwise.
Yes Mj is faster, no he isn't THAT fast. You dudes keep acting as if Lebron guarding sg and pg at the end of games hasn't been happening since his prime. Yes Mj would be the best guy he's guarded, but he wouldn't even be close to the fastest. I think everyone can get blowbys playing one on one. And what's the need for midrange when you outweigh your opponent by 50lbs?
I mean really guys?:biggums:
Yet you too are acting like bran is like shaq when in reality, he has been successfully guarded by iggy, kawhi, kobe. So shut up brah. Theres a reason why youre a 2/6 stan coz you dont know shit

You have to believe in yourself. I respect that and don't knock him for it. The player with best chance of matching up with Mike is Kobe. So similar. Even if slightly inferior. Bizarro doppelganger. LeBron would hold his own given his physicality. But Jordan would abuse him off the dribble more than he'd make MJ pay for his inferior size in the post.

Basketball is not a one on one game.
With that being said Lebron would beat MJ. LBJ's strength advantage is a big deal. Lebron could back him down on offense, follow up his own misses, and also muscle him on defense. As someone that has played against guys 50-60 lbs heavier even those much less skilled I can say that Jordan would be facing an uphill battle.
he is not a gd man defender, jordan will destroyed him,no question :applause:

I'm a stan but you're the one all in your feelings about it? Wtf? Emotional overreaction to a dude you supposedly hate, honestly think you dig him on the low bro. Show me where I ever said he was Shaq, I merely said he was bigger and stronger than Mj. Guess that's not true either. Bringing up guys guarding him in game situations where passing and making plays is an option aren't very valuable either. If you don't agree I'm ok with that, you should be too. But imho and experience strength is more difficult to overcome than speed. Strentgh will apply to way more areas of a game as an advantage if your strength advantage is sizable.

Bro jordan is close to iguodala. If he can slow down bran, what makes you think jordan cant? You are delusional(pretending hes shaq) if he can easily back down jordan. But what did i expect from the poster who said 1on1 isnt about midrange.lol Theres a reason why kerr wanted bran to iso coz he sucked at it.

I shouldn't have to explain that one on one isn't the same as a game, again in a game situation a dude like lebron has to be careful not to draw offensive fouls. What puss calls offensive fouls in one on one? You've obviously never played one on one with a bigman. It isn't about midrange it's about basketball, halfcourt basketball. That'd be like me saying mj couldn't win cause lebron is a better outside shooter and one on one is all about 3s. It's not about any one spot on the floor. You should get out and hoop sometime bro.

jordan hater,nuff said
...right. My sport as kid and in hs was baseball and it was as a pitcher. (left handed) I went out there every game believing I could smoke anyone who came up...because that's the mentality you have in sports. Hell I would even go as far to say I was egotistical in those little league days when nobody could do anything against me...but you have to be. An athlete with no confidence isn't much of an athlete...so Lebron saying he'd beat Jordan 1 on 1 is absolutely what he should be saying and more importantly BELIEVE.

Durant gets locked up by Chris Paul and Tony Allen consistently. Physicality renders his meek frame, and petite feminine shoulders useless cause he can't shed defenders. Much like Curry ... they are very much boosted by the type of game played today. Along with a near complete lack of physicality. Their games are not translated to the same dominant extent in more physical eras of play. Doesn't mean they're not awesome.
LeBron could physically exist in a tougher league. Dish it or take it. Regardless of his melodramatic flopping. He's a freakishly fast, guard like tank PF / SF combo. It's how he would handle mentally more physical play where I think he'd crumble. He complains enough as is now. Especially if MJ is trash talking him.
Kobe can take it. His skills and mental toughness help him. But physically he's just inferior to Mike in every way. Hands, speed, quickness, strength, shoulders. More stubborn but less intelligent. We've seen what he can do under physical play conditions. Still an all time great but visibly inferior to Jordan. Anything pre 2006 shows the type of player Kobe is in a more physical NBA.
All of this should be accounted for when talking about one on one. Kobe would give MJ work some games. He's the best iso player besides Mike. Jordan just has certain advantages.
Everyone has lost at one on one before. Especially against any kind of professional. It would be even more neck and neck here for the longevity of their one on one battles.

Getting beat up going to the hole takes it toll psychologically and physically. Physically he's fine. Mentally he wines and complains when Kirk Hinrich takes a charge and he flips out. Or in the playoffs is afraid to take it the rack on Roy Hibbert.
Meanwhile MJ was taking hits from muscle bound thugs like Ewing, Oakley, Mason and X while still finishing at the cup.
Come on ... mentality, toughness, and clutch ability are by far LeBron's more glaring flaws. Besides a jumper that comes and goes.

I like him saying that. Confidence
Confidence is a byproduct of predictability.
Seeing how LeBron* has a tendency to lose on the biggest stage, he has nothing to be confident about if he expects to win against MJ.

For the umpteenth time, I've never said he was shaq. Since you keep bringing it up though,in a size comparison to mj he is to mj basically what shaq was to some centers if you really want to be technical about it. Anyone can be stopped bro, mj, kobe, Wilt, whomever. You still haven't answered the post about having basically no offensive foul calls in one on one.
Only a dummy could miss the success he's had which says he ain't too bad in the half court after all. If I wasn't tryin to throw the game there's no way I'm shooting mid range if I know I got a huge size/strength advantage. Who plays one on one and decides to do the thing that will least help them win. I know the Knicks suck but your understanding of the game doesn't need to match.....
