And something nobody seems to mentioning, the most successful coach in NBA history in Phil Jackson. To me a truly quality coach is the equivalent of having another star on the roster. If LA had a weakness, it was their thin bench, but rotations shorten in the playoffs anyway, so depth isn't of much importance. During that span only Boston had a better overall roster than LA.

The 08-10 Lakers to me have more offensive talent than either of the 2 Bulls 3peats.
