Bro... Kobe had a DOMINANT front court with Gasol/Bynum/Odom!!
Don't give me that shit fam
Gasol has made more all nba teams than Kyrie Irving and Chris Bosh combined.. :applause:
Bynum has the same amount of all NBA TEAMS as Chris Bosh though his knee forced him to retire after about half as many seasons.:applause:
Odom won Gold Medals as the starting Center for team USA over players Like TYSON CHANDLER..
Oh and Odom won 6th man of the year.. Odom didnt make any all nba teams but he was the fourth best Laker in 2009-2010.. Lebron's best teammate Williams would have had problems being considered the 5th best player on that Laker team..
I think ARIZa would be considered a better player because he could defend and was a decent enough shooter to keep teams honest..

Ingram with 32/6/4 on 67%
Kuzma with 22/4/2 on 60%
Imagine Kobe had the above help instead of like 12 of his teammates from the team in the pic
6-12 without Old man Bron .. When Kobe missed games the LAKERS GOT BETTER:cheers:

How crazy would it be if any one player could carry this cast to not one but TWO rings back to back in the most competitive conference in history?
Who on this team is a top 200 player all time other than Mamba?
How long would it take until LeGOAT threw visible tantrums on the court and demanded a complete overhaul of the coaching and teammates with this cast?

Whats funny to me is how many Lakers fans were adamant they had the best team in the league and now a few(very few) people decided they weren't talented in retrospect.
Depends what agenda you support. See any Bulls team in the 90's

In the pre-super team era, that indeed IS a really good roster. Superstar + All Star 2nd option + a very solid supporting cast featuring size and 3&D players. And something nobody seems to mentioning, the most successful coach in NBA history in Phil Jackson. To me a truly quality coach is the equivalent of having another star on the roster. If LA had a weakness, it was their thin bench, but rotations shorten in the playoffs anyway, so depth isn't of much importance. During that span only Boston had a better overall roster than LA.
The 08-10 Lakers to me have more offensive talent than either of the 2 Bulls 3peats.

I don't think this team is beating the Warriors or anything like that, but how could you not call them title contenders within their era? I think that team could beat the Garnett-Pierce-Allen Celtics.

That is a fantastic team. And much better than any of the garbage Lebron played with from 2004-2010 or the Raptors team that Kawhi just led to a title.

2012 Miami Heat:
Mario Chalmers
Norris Cole
Ronny Turiaf
Mickell Gladness
Joel Anthony
Dexter Pittman
Terrel Harris
38 year old Juwan Howard
The Lakers had 5 guys putting up 10ppg in their championship years. How many did the Heat have?

Stacked team does not really have to equate to a team full of big names. When a team have a 2 HOF player plus a bunch of players in their peak prime plus a HOF coach, that team is stacked!
Also, that does not demerit Kobe winning with this stacked team. Kobe is a great player nonetheless.

Nuggets, Magic, Cavs..those teams went deeper than the Lakers. Imagine calling a team stacked that has Walton & Farmar/Brown as the 7th & 8th guys :kobe: Bynum wasn't healthy and barely produced in the Playoffs. Ariza was a below-average 3PT shooter before going off in the Playoffs.

Dead on balls accurate.
Gasol changed them a lot. Kobe had a tough life after Shaq left. Luckily Gasol eventually saves the Franchise from being Kobe'd (FUBAR'd).
2005: Missed playoffs
2006: Blew a 3-1 lead vs Amareless Suns
2007: 1st round exit
*Insert Pau Gasol*
2008: Finals appearance
Odd...Anyone?

Good sir can you please tell me Gasol's playoff record in the first round as the bonafide first option of his team (no Kobe)? I can't seem to find any data on any wins...

so 2004-2005 Lakers 34-48 missed plf, Grizzlies 45-37 lost in first round against spurts (4-0).
2005-2006 Lakers 45-37 lost in first round against suns (4-3), Grizllies 49-33 lost in first round against mavericks(4-0).
2006-2007 Lakers 42-40 lost in first round against suns (4-1), Grizzlies 22-60 missed playoffs
