Uh, actually it's the other way around isn't it? Dodgers lose tonight, they go on vacay? TBH, my family in Cali are Doyers fans and I was kinda rooting for them but I'd rather be up 3-1 having to face Scherzer and Buehler at home than be in LA's position having to win 3 in a row but what do I know, I've been entirely wrong on my predictions this postseason so far, lol. Picked STL over LA in the wildcard, WRONG, picked NYY over BoSox in the WC, WRONG! Picked ChiSox over HOU, WRONG! Picked MIL over ATL, WRONG, picking LA over ATL, down 1-3 and BoSox over HOU, down 1-3 there too...glad I'm not a betting man :lol

You ain't wrong. In reality it is the other way around. I wouldn't feel confident in the Braves if they blow Fried vs a bullpen game. It's the Lefties on the Braves that have been getting the Dodgers out consistently. If I'm Snitker, I don't show them a RHP all game today.

If Fried is consistent, then I go Fried till the 6th, Minter in the 7th, Matzek in the 8th, and Smith to close it out.

If Sox lose this series, I'm fine with it. The Astros are not a shit team by any stretch and the Sox were never supposed to get this far. Still...a World Series would be fun.

At the end of the day, its important that we're still able to tell the Yankees and Rays to eat our asses. That matters.

The Braves can still win this series. I favor the Dodgers to win now though. Just my opinion.

Scherzer and Buehler lined up for 6 and 7 on normal rest offers some protection against a bad manager. What should be more concerning for Braves fans is Dodger bats are too good to stay quiet for an entire 7 game series. Exploding for 11 runs last night shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has watched this team. Credit to the Braves pitching staff for mostly shutting them down, but it's asking a lot to keep it going.

Red Sox bats have gotten cold in the worst moment, it's not like the Asstros have stellar arms out of their bullpen, BoSox just can't hit their way out of a paper bag rn.

Definitely. The Braves are a good team. A really good team. It's entirely possible I'm overselling how good the Dodgers lineup is after losing Muncy and Turner. Still a good lineup, but these are backups to the guys who won 105.

It’s not just right now though. We’re 44-22 since august 1st including the postseason.

It’s been almost 3 months of excellent baseball. Just a completely different team than the one from the first half.

By the way, the umpiring in this World Series has been awful. Some of the worst I have ever seen. These guys behind the plate cannot do their job with any degree of consistency. Might as well have 7 Angel Hernandez's out there.

Oh man what a season. All joking aside, I have been following the Braves since 1990. Saw the Worst to First campaign, then saw them lose back to back World Series championships against the Twins and the Blue Jays who were a hell of a team. Suffered through a strike in 94 where there was no baseball and no World Series, and then finally saw the Braves win it all in 95. Suffered through them getting beat up by the Yankees since and the mediocrity of that team in the late 2000's. And finally, the Braves win again in an unprecedented season where their best players get hurt, and the GM brings in some decent but mediocre replacements, and those 4 guys he brings in are the ones who actually made a difference. What a win. Cried last night.

Congrats Braves. Did not root for you at all, but I have to admit there is no real rivalry between the Braves and Mets anymore. Not since Chipper retired. It just sucks that it was because of the Mets that the Braves GM realized they were still in it and traded for a new outfield. Mets were about 5 up on them and had a 5 game series with them and lost 3 out of 5 against a team that was missing many players. Mets took their foot off the pedal and Braves capitalized. Does that series sound familiar to any of y'all Braves fans? But that's just how it is for the Mets, every NL East team has won since the millennium except the damn Mets. Cursed franchise.

AL MVP finalists: Vlad Jr, Semien, and Shohei

Both teams representing the finalists fail to make the Playoffs, but Blue Jays was 1 game away from a possible three-way tie. Vlad Jr. is the best hitter of the team and in the league this season as having the most HRs in MLB tying with Royals catcher Sal Perez, while Semien made a history of setting the all-time HR record in a regular season for a 2nd base man.

Shohei though was individually great at both hitting and pitching, 2nd in HR behind Vlad and Perez, along with 100 RBI, 103 runs and 26 base steals. He also started 23 games with 9-2 record and 3.18 ERA and 156 Ks.

Kind of like what the Braves did with Acuna his rookie year. He’s one of the best players in baseball who won’t make more than 17 million a year until 2027

I truly don't understand spending that much money if I'm them. Seager and Semien aren't going to move the needle in any way because they still have absolutely no pitching whatsoever. Maybe they're a bit more exciting offensively but Seager is hurt a lot anyway.

No way they win more than 76-78 as it stands right now.

Honestly the Braves getting Matt Olson on the deal that they didn't is the absolute best case scenario if they weren't going to sign Freddie. Pretty pumped about this to be honest.

Did not like the Braves giving up Ryan Cusick for him in that deal. Was fine with everyone else, but Cusick had the potential to be a #1 starter in my honest opinion. Needless to say, the Braves have still not addressed their pitching.

They're playing right now and Bryce Elder is at least looking good.

Proof that we need steroids back in baseball. Power pitchers like DeGrom and Chris Sale, back on in the IL. These are the greatest arms in the league and yet because of their mechanics, because of what they do to their bodies to be able to pitch the way they do, they always end up getting hurt.
