Will smith is a great actor, havent disliked a movie he has been in, but having said that he is not an alltime great, although he does stir some full on emotions in people that alot of actors cant come close to evoking.
Seven Pounds- almost cried
I am legend- watery eyes when he had to kill his dog
Pursuit of happiness- **** tugs heartstrings hardout.

a movie no one has mentioned yet was leggend of bagger vance which i enjoyed thoroughly, plays a quirky mentor role to matt damon.

My favourite current 5 actors and movie:
Daniel Day-Lewis (Last of the Mohicans or there will be blood)
Johnny Depp (Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas)
Leonardo DiCaprio (Blood Diamond)
Robert Downey Junior (Kisskiss Bangbang)

Oh and he's actually a good actor that can portray multiple roles, unlike big willie style.

lol i dunno about that. he's one of my favourite actors and one of my favourite movies when i was a kid was even the hurricane. i'm not saying he can't, but in almost all the roles i've seen him in, he almost plays the same exact character. the confident, smooth-talking, walks-with-swagger dude, who likes to pump his fists. ex. remember the titans, inside man, american gangster, training day, devil in a blue dress, and many more. the only role where i've only really seen him play a different character was in antwone fisher.

i think someone who could play multiple roles is tom hanks. another one of my favourites.. dude played forrest gump, a gangster in road to perdition, joe vs. the volcano, sleepless in seattle, and he really fooled me in the terminal..

He's done it all.. rap, hit sitcom, comedies, thrillers, suspense, heros... all he needs is that "denzel in training day" role and he goes down top 5 actor all time... up there with John Wayne, Marlon Brando, Tom Hanks, etc.

And he's still very young.. imagine how many more great movies this cat can pump out before all is said and done.

Yeah, Seven Pounds looks like a totally manipulative piece of shyt sentimental fest. Yeah, this movie looks like it lays it on pretty thick. I can totally see this as a movie with a main objective is to make you cry. I can picture people thinking this is a good movie because it forced them to cry. Yeah. Brilliant.

Of course you thought it was good. It looks like it ponders to the typical movie goer. It's not really hard to figure out. If Will Smith is a good actor, why doesn't he try to play in some good honest movies instead of just playing in big budget movies and movies that just exploit the bad taste of the average movie goer?

I'd give him a pass if his movies were good. Hell, Arnie couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. But he has The Terminator, T2, Predator, True Lies and Total Recall to his credit. Will has let's see...
