Re: 2011 MLS thread
Just readin what they've said on the Weather Network.
This is their last report:
well I hope they are able to finish.
I would be fairly annoyed if they play half a game or more that needs to be replayed in its entirety as Dallas has games on Saturday (MLS) and Tuesday (US Open Cup) when they could be using this time to rest their already overworked players. Plus Dallas has been owning this match so far. Its not like they are lucky to be up.

Honestly, if Cleveland got an MLS team id support the hell out of it. Get me more into the sport.

I was at TFC vs FCD game. Watching thunder and lightning during a half time delay maybe more interesting than the real game. :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:
I'll be there tomorrow morning when the match will be restarted ENTIRELY!

Re: 2011 MLS thread
I was at the morning game today. As expect, not a lot of people from yesterday were there today but still gathered some with the usual supporters who heckled the hell outta Kevin Hartman. Good time. :D
Still, FCD ended up winning though, 1-0. I would have been a draw if Maro didn't pull a missed fancy volley at the front of the goal instead of touch the ball in. :banghead:
you deserve the loss! :rant
Galaxy/NYRB game postponed to October 4th....
Sweet. I was just about to post that tonight's Champion's League game will be interest depending on how Bruce wants to go about it when it comes to resting Becks/Keane/Donovan and even a Birchall scrub but no worries now.
-------------Saunders------------------
Dunivant --- Berhalter --- OGo --- AJDLG
-------Franklin--------------------------
--------Beckham-----Juninho---------
------------Donovan------------------
----Cristman------------Keane---------
Depending on how Berhalter/Cristman does, have Magee and Birchall ready to sub in at about the 70 minute mark. Give Donovan/Beckham free reign to go wherever as long as Juninho and Franklin can control possession, which they should be able too.
****ing Teal Bunbury :rant
He could have been the solution of Team Canada's lack of offense.
Could've, I'm just curious to see if he can play as a CAM more than anything. If so, put him there with Jozy and Aguedlo ahead of him as strikers in a few years and can be scary.
I'm also wondering when Davies will get a call-up again. Whether he has the form or not, think he deserves it.

Re: 2011 MLS thread
Galaxy dominated 2-0, but the next 2 are on the road (final 3 of 4) and Juninho is out of the next match. 4 points on the road should win the group.
Chivas USA passed on Ochoa, which is a surprise to me.
Also Klinsmann has his 24 players ready for the upcoming friendlies vs Costa Rica and @ Belgium.
I was hoping that Buddle would get another shot, especially because I want to see him paired up with either Jozy or Agudelo up front but guess that won't happen. Also am wondering when Omar Gonzales will get another shot at the national level, think he can be our top CB for years to come, maybe give AJDLG a shot too (I'd have taken him over Bornstein with Bradley!)
eh Buddle is too old for the NT unfortunately, especially when when we have a surplus of young forwards coming up(Agudelo, Bunbury, Altidore, Doyle(i think that's his name), even Davies) Blame Bradley for not starting him over Robbie ****ing Findley
Gonzoles should get a look especially over michael orazco(or w/e his name is). I don't like the idea of JK incoportating latin players and a latin style to our game.

Re: 2011 MLS thread
Seriously, the option of a city that has no proven supporters to get an MLS team is very slim considering how successful recently added teams are (Sounders, Timbers, Whitecaps). Those teams have the thing in common, they are all long-established teams with strong supporters. If MLS want to have more teams they will be either the same kind or NY Cosmos.
So the best bet is to move another team to Cleveland, so why not the team in the same state with relatively low attendances now?
Columbus is fine.. The team has it's own SSS which is pretty good. I can also imagine the team is in a sound financial position as their roster is cheap and own stadium. They are also a successful team, I think they just need more marketing and a well known player(Schletto was that guy).
If anything the MLS needs to do something about Chivas USA and San Jose.. Chivas should move to San Diego and completely re-brand while San Jose needs to do something about their stadium.
I also think a city like St.Louis, Orlando or Arizona(idk what city in Arizona) should get a look at a team. I still think the MLS needs a team in the South East region.
