donell taylor is going to light it up

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
Looking forward to this. Hoping to see Zoubek & Uzoh impress for the Nets. We could do with cheap, useful back-up at both PG & C.
-
Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
cant wait to see what Paul George can bring. Ive read a lot of positive things about the kid...but Ive never seen him in game action

Zoubek...impress...you're rather optimistic.
Zoubek...impress...you're rather optimistic.
Ha, he's a legit 7 footer with a nose for the ball. I think he could potentially be a serviceable back-up big off the bench in limited minutes. Certainly can't be much worse than Josh Boone.

I've only seen summer league online in the past, but I'm pretty sure It's the same feed for both. So I would assume they would be. I hope so, those guys are hilarious and read like 4 of my e-mails last year. :oldlol:

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
OKC (should) destroy us, Harden and Ibaka!? Oh well, I'd like to see if Harrangody really is the white Big Baby and I get the feeling I might. Hopefully one of Parakhousi and Erden can earn themselves a roster spot for next year, we need as many big bodies as we can get

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
The best part is everyone excited to see Summer League games then after a couple minutes are like what the hell is this? :oldlol: Summr League can be brutal to watch. Its like watching a competitive pick up game and the commentating is done is mixed. I remember one time these two guys just went on a clowning fest making jokes. Game got really boring I believe.

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
Still can't figure out how McRoberts is playing, thought it was only third year and under guys? This'll be his 4th year. Not that I'm complaining.
I'm just grateful I don't get a grainy ass web feed this year.

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
So it actually costs money to watch the Summer League this year?

I don't think so. It's usually free on NBA.com

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
I'm really preferring this commentary to the Dante and Galante stuff of previous years. Yeah they were funny occasionally, but I'd like to know who's scoring and hear real commentary once in a while too. What's with Hayward not taking a shot yet.
Jeremy Pargo chucking. :oldlol:
-
Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
Henderson should have gotten more minutes last year. I think he was under-utilised.

Agreed. Sure, keep it light hearted and all that, but don't go on 5 minute joke sprees completely unrelated to the game. At least tell me who's on the damn floor every few possessions.

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
alexis ajinca has arrived! finally
-
Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
it caught me off-guard;didnt know summer league came on this early
*Henderson and other guy are '09 first rounders, not 2010 :lol *
looking forward to the NJ game...alot of underrated players in that game

Exactly, and they started to get annoying after a quarter or so since all there jokes revolved around how horrible summer league is and busting on players.
I'm liking how hard Ajinca is going, good to see a 7'1" guy scrapping like that.

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
Dang, Nathan Jawai looks pretty out of shape. :lol

He was in earlier. Didn't take a shot.

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
Are there any combo teams this year? There were a couple I think last year, I know Philly shared with someone.
Richard Hendrix is somehow playing for both Indy and the Clipps.

I don't think so. Last year it was us & Philly sharing, but it was a completely pointless exercise. Glad we didn't go down that route this year.

Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
Koufos looks more terrible than I remembered. Some team's going to have to take a chance on Shawne Williams, he just has too much talent to not make it.
-
Re: Orlando Summer League Game Thread Day 1 (July 5)
I'm surprised Hendrix showed up, he's apparently been getting very lucrative offers from high level European teams. He was one of the best big men in the ACB last year.
