Trivia/Crittenton to answer questions
The Washington Wizards are getting set to embark on their 30th anniversary journey in China tomorrow, and while a select few will make the ten-day tour, fans who can't visit China can still connect with a new trivia game and a question contest for Javaris Crittenton.
In about a six-minute video regarding Washington's history with China and status as a representative of the capital of the United States, Washington's Owner, Abe Pollin, explains how the current Wizards arena came to be built. While Pollin was given offers to build a cost-free arena in Baltimore or Virginia in 1994, Chinatown was his only choice, even though it would cost him money out of his own pocket.
15 years after Pollin's decision to plant a seed in the District and 30 years after Washington's first trip to China, a select few will represent Washington once again from September 5th-September 15th.
For fans unable to catch the action, Wizards.com released a few new features this week, including a fun new trivia game, and a question contest for Javaris Crittenton, where fans can enter questions and vote for their favorites. The trivia game has 11 questions, the 11th being my favorite (What new Wizard hasn't played or coached for the Minnesota Timberwolves?). And take your time on question #3, it's a tricky one. The Crittenton question contest will result in 10 finalists and J Critt will answer them sometime next week. I'm interested in the Sam Cassell one, personally.
Also, be sure to encourage your local schools and teachers to check out Timeout with the Wizards! (PDF), a fill-out form to request a "timeout" field trip to the Verizon Center.
Submit questions and take the quiz!
