No way, Eagles better not dare sign this lame ass player.

Big Ten Rbs continue for the most part to be jokes when hitting the NFL. Good job Larry, no really.

eagles need depth, westbrook is finished. mccoy and johnson would make a great 1-2 punch

But do you see the Eagles actually using LJ? For LJ to be productive he needs carries. A guy like McCoy can hurt you catching out the backfield or with a big run. LJ? Is the type to wear down defenses. Is he willing to become Ricky Williams. Used sporadically. You'd think he have no choice given his situation. But ya never know. Also Eagles offense...run vs pass, are they gonna be balanced enough to use them as a 1-2 punch? You could argue LJ would have been perfect to use last night where Mcnabb QB sneaked. But so would have Weaver and they elected not to use him.

I dunno...I just dont have much confidence/faith in the Eagles actually running the football where adding him would make sense.

NE could turn him around. I've got faith they can take any player and make them winners, change their attitudes, etc.

They've done it with several players. NE is kinda like the Yankees. It's the franchise you don't f*ck around with.

I'm just glad he's gone. We should have probably traded him when there was value left though.

Jamaal Charles gets to prove himself as a starter even though it won't be easy with that line.

The Chiefs also hold two 2nd round picks in the draft and there could be four starting caliber RB's available in Spiller, Mathews, Royster, and Dwyer. We would be wise to draft one.

No, no, no, no, no!

I am not a Houston fan, but they signed one former Chief, S Bernard Pollard(you Patriot fans should now him well), and he is working out good for them. Now, Houston, since Slaton is struggling, step up to the plate and do it again.

The AP reports:

Larry Johnson's record-breaking career as a Kansas City running back is over.

The Chiefs confirmed Monday that they had run out of patience with his off-the-field problems and released Johnson the day he was due to come back from his second suspension in a year.

I wouldn't mind the Bears signing this guy. With Jones already out for the year, Wolfe hurt/sick, we could use someone to back up Forte.

LJ is a lot like AI, not in the sense of being a supposed "cancer", but he needs the ball a lot to be effective, and will suffer in a system that doesn't cater to that.
