Without Amar'e, Knicks counting on depth

Woodson will have to lean on Anthony, Raymond Felton and J.R. Smith to carry more of the scoring load. They'll still have Tyson Chandler to set up and score in pick-and-rolls. His presence will help the Knicks establish better spacing and ball rotation.

Without Stoudemire, the Knicks' role players will need to create and finish more plays in halfcourt sets, and take advantage of open opportunities. As it is, the team doesn't have a deep 3-point shooting cast. They'll especially need to rebound, which Stoudemire does pretty well. In the preseason, that was one of their biggest weaknesses.

One benefit the Knicks have is their seasoned depth at point guard. Last season, all of the shuffling at the one -- from Toney Douglas to Iman Shumpert to Mike Bibby to Jeremy Lin to Baron Davis -- made it difficult for the Knicks to develop offensive consistency from the starting five to the second unit.

Considering Sheed and Camby hasnt played any minutes this depth thing is still just paper stuff. Kurt is just a 20 minute player Melo will get the other minutes at the 4. Scary thing is Kidd being on the floor for 20 or more major minutes instead of filler minutes. Lord let Woodson be smart please play Pablo major minutes and give Kidd the filler minutes.

Actually the truth is this team cant shoot from perimeter still.
The false is Stat rebounding and playing defense is laughable.

What does Kidd have to do with Amare being out?

Amare out doesnt effect who plays PF if its Melo moving to the 4, our SG to SF thus making it necessary to move a PG into that role?

Maybe I am over thinking this Final Destination chain of events....:lol

More than one would think actually. I dont think Im the only one who expects Woodson to start Kidd and Felton at some point in the season. Probably sooner than later.
