Kobe wants Pippen in LA!

Quote:

Kobe Bryant is intrigued by the thought of a Scottie Pippen comeback and would love him to do it with the Lakers.

"He was in camp with us last season and he looked like he was in great shape," said Bryant at today's All-Star media session. "I'm going to tell him there's a place in the triangle for him."

Pippen needs to just stay retired.

I say do it. Even if he plays 5 mins a game...his presence alone would help us, mentor Odom and provide some smarts to the team. Could be something like a player/coach kinda thing too...

This would be great. Nab Kidd as well and our average age would skyrocket to 33.

I say trade Bynum and Walton for Granger, Harrison and Diogu as well.

CT: Brown/ Diogu/ Harrison
PF: Odom/ Cook/ Turiaf
SF: Granger/ Radmanovic/ Pippen
SG: Bryant/ Evans/ Vujacic
PG: Parker/ Farmer/ Williams

Looks a lot better.

Get Dennis rodman too while you're at it.

Re: Kobe wants Pippen in LA!

That's possible, but in the end I don't like it. Walton contributes too much to the setting up of the offense, and while Granger is a great young player, he isn't the smartest guy, basketball wise. Although his shooting would help.

I haven't seen enough of Diogu to comment on that part, although I hear he has a nice repetoire of moves. Still wouldn't really want to trade away Bynum for that.

Harrison's a scrub.

Of course he does. He models his whole life out of being a MJ wannabe, so why wouldn't he want Pippen???

If he could get Rodman, Grant and Kerr he would too. Wouldn't even care about winning anymore. He'd just look at them and pretend he was on those old Bulls teams as Mike.

I thought Kobe said he would forever hate Pippen for that time when Pippen elbowed Kobe's injured ribs during that one playoff series between LA and Portland. Guess he got over that.

Garnett said he wanted more veterans.

Why give up Bynum for Granger when he could get us Gasol or possibly KG if we trade Lamar too? Doesn't make any sense to just give him away like that.

Pippen knows the triangle anyways so why not?

He can show odom a thing or two about being a facilitator.

His prescense alone would help
