Preseason Opener
Well, I liked a lot of what I saw.

Not to overreact too much...but I have been waiting too long to not enjoy talking some about the first Jazz ball I have seen in a while. This game plus the summer league:

Williams, people weren't rolling like they normally do
Brewer, back in good standing with me.
Giricek, 5% body fat! The hustle should be even more swarmy this year.
Almond, good fit. He rebounded well.
Miles, starting to feel bad for the kid, his agent gave him some bad advice
Hart, guy is fast on man D, just what we want in a backup pg
AK, 4 blocks in limited minutes. Sick pass. At first I didnt think Phoenix would be better with him than Marion...I was wrong.
Milsap, not bad, where were the blocks? Otherwise good D.
Okur, he always suprises me with a some mobility.
Collins, looks skinnier
Fes, nice blocks, awkward offense. Good interviews!

Re: Preseason Opener
Yep, i never saw the whole thing, NBA is limited over in the UK but from the box scores and play by play it sounds as though ur close with your little summary. Tell me, did AK play PF for some minuets?? hence the reason for the points and rebounds. Cos i heard something bout him having some time as PF. If thats true, then that means the old Ak is back... im exited :D

Re: Preseason Opener
Ya know, I didn't watch too closely, but I don't think he got any minutes at PF. Milsap started, and I think he played the 4 while AK played the three in their limited minutes.

I noticed Williams made a special effort to get the ball to him, even when maybe he shouldn't have, but it resulted in good AK passes after that.

Re: Preseason Opener
Man, Millsap's gotta be damn near the top at those dreadful PER ratings. He always puts up ridiculous numbers in very limited numbers.
