We still need to add 7 million more jobs to really be even with 2008 though, to adjust to the population growth during the past 6 years.
Overall, this has been the longest jobs recovery since the Department of Labor started tracking jobs data in 1939. Economists surveyed by CNNMoney predict it will take two to three more years to return to "full employment," which they define as an unemployment rate around 5.5%.
Sad that it has taken us so long to recover. It's good to see that we are in the right direction though and that a full recovery is expected in 2-3 years.
