    Default Giannis the stats machine

Giannis is statistically dominant, but he only won 1 NBA championship. Sometimes you need great 2nd scoring option to win multiple rings. And a solid supporting casts because basketball is a team sports. GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO THIS SEASON:

    🔹 37 PTS — 14 REB — 5 AST - 16/26 FGM
    🔹 31 PTS — 20 REB — 7 AST - 11/14 FGM
    🔹 40 PTS — 14 REB — 9 AST - 14/20 FGM
    🔹 37 PTS — 8 REB — 7 AST - 16/22 FGM
    🔹 26 PTS — 11 REB — 8 AST - 8/13 FGM
    🔹 33 PTS - 15 REB — 5 AST - 14/21 FGM

Ask yourself why he only won 1 ring? Could it perhaps be that he got injured year after year going into the Playoffs/in the middle of the POs? And/or Jrue/Middleton were injured?

At least you can admit that it's a team sport, but in his case he's just been really unfortunate with his own health tbh. Even when they won the ring he hyperextended his knee and still dominated after coming back. He's been a top 3 player for the last 8 seasons. To me he's he modern version of Shaq with his physical dominance but he actually keeps himself in peak shape and seems to always give everything to the game when he's on the court.

    They are impressive numbers.

I just find it hard to take anything about this guy seriously. He benefits from the Immigrant Pass I talked about earlier- the favoritism shown foreign players. On offense, he is swinging his elbows at the skulls of his opponents, even when he clocks them in the face, he is never called for anything. He does get fingernail foul calls from these same defenders and goes to the line. Meanwhile on defense, he hand-checks, shoves, commits virtually every foul known to man and never gets called for anything.

I'm a Draymond fan; but I know Draymond gets away with a lot. Why he gets away with it- who knows. Giannis gets even more favorable treatment- it's sickening. It's like the refs are afraid to blow the whistle. Especially with Giannis saying they don't know how to play defense in the NBA. That's because you're getting the red carpet treatment Giannis. If people were allowed to play defense on you and you were held accountable the same way other players were, it'd be very different.

    Its a rigged league.

Giannis barely has any basketball skill. Hes just a super freak athlete allowed to do whatever. Makes Shaq look like a choir boy with what he gets away with.

It is rigged, whether it's based on some kind of direction from the league, or misjudgments at the individual ref level, I'm not sure. Recently, Wimbledon began using electronic video systems, not lines judges (other majors had it already). Makes me think the next step is for AI to adjudicate these games, and not people. If it's coming from the league, there's no hope- whether people or tech.
