Kevin Duckworth, a two-time NBA All-Star who spent the majority of his 12 NBA seasons as the Portland Trail Blazers' center, has died. He was 44.
Duckworth died Monday in Kernville, Ore., near the coastal town of Lincoln City. His death was confirmed by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. Duckworth was in town as part of a Trail Blazers group hosting a free kids basketball clinic, Fox 12 reported on its Web site.
The cause of his death was not released Tuesday morning.
What the hell? I'm absolutely shocked. He has been to a lot of Blazer games, at charity events, on the Blazers radio, still active in the community. I know he was huge, very over weight but it's still a shock. Man this is terrible news. I hope the Blazers pay tribute to him, he was a great guy.

yeah dude did get big. could have definately been related
August has been a terrible month for the Blazers. Oden first started feeling knee pain this time last year. Roy just got surgery on his knee this year. Now Kevin Duckworth dies a couple months before such an exciting season.
I'm pretty certain he died of a heart attack. He was huge, I was looking at some recent pictures of him a couple days ago. I really wished he would get into better shape. Man this is just so sad.
