Lyde, Johnson, and Macnamerra.

Suprised to see Lyde at 6'9 and Johnson at 6'10. In person I thought Lyde had some height on him. He definately has size . I love Lyde. He destroyed the RMR with rebounds and defense. He was the only big man that could handle the Iranian center.

I hope the consistency will pay off. With much of the western conference trying to adjust to new changes, maybe Utah can take a quick lead with the solid team from last year. I expect measureable improvements from Brewer and Milsap in their 24 minute stretches, adding depth to the roster. If two out of the main four (Williams, Boozer, Okur, Kirilenko) have all star seasons...we should be ready to compete.

Isn't Britton more of a SF at 6'10"?

Milsap didn't show much improvement last year over his rookie year so I think it's asking a lot for much more this year. Brewer looks like he has star potential if he continues to improve though. Brevin Knight could be a huge upgrade at the backup 1. They should be ready to compete regardless. Still haven't improved their interior D though.

Yeah, Johnson is definately a SF. I just thought Lyde was taller than 6'9. Plays like 7'.

Maybe Milsap can add some interior D. Looked like he had a few help side blocks.

LYDE!

7 points on 3 shots, 2 blocks and 4 hard fouls in under 14 minutes!

I would rather see my favorite scrub backing up Okur than anyone else right now.

I must admit that it is good to see someone with a not so typical NBA fit type body holding his own. Even if it is only pre season.

Would be nice to see someone out there banging bodies effectively in the low post on a more regular basis. As usual he just doesn't have the height to hold down a full time spot.

It is a shame he isn't 6'11. He did very well against the Iranian Center in the D-League though.

Well, I hope to see Lyde in next year's RMR and maybe on the Flash.

You might see him on the Jazz next year with Boozer, Okur, Milsap, Collins and Fessenko's status up in the air.

I would take him over the last two this year.

Fes might get good...probably not.
Collins does his job. Hopefully we get something more efficeint though. I mean, Collins gives you bang for your buck, but his overall impact is small.

I'd take about anyone over Collins. Fessenko doesn't look bad too me. He's not as good as Koufus. They need to play. Why Sloan hasn't given him and Koufus more time in the pre-season is beyond me.

I think he's feeling that this year he could win it all and is trying to strike chemistries that will actually be on the floor.

Koufos played tonight...Fes sat.
Koufos looked impressive. He could become a more agressive Memo.

I doubt it with the way they continue to not play D.

Koufos got garbage time. He already looks like he's got more all-around skills than Memo.

Deron plays defense
Brewer has improved
Korver hustles
AK plays defense
Boozer doesn't
Milsap plays defense
Okur has improved

If Sloan can make one guy get going on defense, AK can cover rest of the interior. He has every reason to believe this year could be a championship year, which could be the reason he isn't playing the scrubs in the last preseason games.

I was disapointed in the draft at first. Koufos has been playing like pick he should be. Okur has shown a lot since coming to Utah. It isn't hard to show you are more athletic than him, but a lot of athletes haven't come close to being the player he is. I'm happy with Koufos.
