I know this is a very tough question, but if you had to pick what would it be. I am in the middle of a Beatles obsession right now. Mine would either be The Ballad of John & Yoko, Yer Blues, Rocky Raccon, I dig a Pony, Norwegian Wood, or Taxman. Maybe throw Hey Jude in there. Ah, Heck some of their Phsychedelic Rock is great too. All timeless classics I tell ya.
My favorite SONG of all time is In My Life.
I got a rotation of my favorite Bealte tunes. It goes like so:
1- I Wanna Hold Your Hand
2- 8 Days a Week
3- Oh Bla Di Oh Bla Da
4- Can't Buy Me Love
5-Twist and Shout
6- Come Together
7- A Day In The Life
8- Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
9- Hey Jude
10- Let It Be
11- In My Life
12- Yesterday
No "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"? I'm also a pretty big fan of "Here Comes The Sun". Honestly, I don't think there's a single Beatles song that I don't like. And I've even heard most of their rare/B-sides/retakes/alternates and whatever. I love 'em all.
Yeah "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a great piece of composition done by George Harrison. Indeed "Here Comes the Sun" is great as well. You have the golden Lennon/Mccartney duo, but George could take care of bussiness as well. I believe Frank Sinatra also called "Something" one of the best loves songs of all time, and I agree. I can also relate to "The Fool On the Hill."
Tough to pick one. I'd say Here comes the sun (thank you George).
Sexy sadie is not praised enough (that's for john).
Here, there and everywhere is paul's most angelical tune.
1. Blackbird
2. A day in the life
3. You've got to hide your love away
4. Two of Us
5. Across the Universe
6. Helter Skelter
7. Get Back
8. Rocky Raccoon
9. Something
10. Come Together
Man I love the Beatles, awesome thread!
My band does covers of Helter Skelter, Blackbird and Imagine. I transcribed Imagine for guitar if anyones interested in playing it.
but while we're doing covers here, aerosmith totally rocked "come together" and i totally appreciate fiona apple's "across the universe" (pleasantville soundtrack)...
