Default Trade Murphy for Tyson Chandler?

I know this seemed like a no brainer at the beginning of the season, but I'm wondering whether I should make this move. Can Murphy keep these stats up, even though he's traditionally injury-prone? Can Chandler be this bad the rest of the way, especially with the Hornets recent play?

It makes sense for me, since I could use more fg% and blocks, although I know Chandler cant keep up almost two blocks per. It wont be a dropoff in ft%, and Murphy was a waiver pickup, so I wont be losing much in theory. But I'm enjoying his rebounding and threes after dealing Jamison recently.

So what do you think? Any reason that Murphy cant continue to thrive in Indiana? Or do you see Tyson having the better long-term value?

That's really a tough call just based on what Chandler was able to do last year. But right now I'd rather have Murphy, and I think he'll keep up his play all season. But that doesn't mean Chandler won't pick up, the real question is when? and in Fantasy Basketball you can only wait so long.

As you know injuries are tough/impossible to predict. So if I were you I'd go with Murphy on the expectation he'll be healthy all year.

I'd hang onto Murph man, he's a blue collar player who's gonna get you the double double numbers nightly on the low end and put up numbers like he has recently in the high end. there's not a lot of other big men production competition at Indiana, Jeff Foster and Rasho are both servicable but not hugely productive guys, Granger doesn't play close to the basket. There's a lot of numbers for Murph.

Chandler, for whatever reason, isn't getting it done, until last year he'd never really been a good fantasy player, so unless you're thinking he's going to blow up in a buy-low situation, i'd stick with murph, unless it makes positional sense for you to swap.

Outside of both being good rebounders, they are quite different, so it depends on needs. Equal value.

I don't think it's a question that Murphy can keep it up...he's not even averaging 11ppg I don't think. His FT% will creep back to the 73-76% range, but his FG% will stay low.

So, do you need FG%/blks more or less then 3's/FT% because the rest is pretty similar. Troy will probably score more and get more dimes/stls. But his FG% will actually hurt you (but Tyson's FT% will hurt too).
