This is setting up a bigger trade for Dallas IMO because who else do they have up front to backup Dampier? Hollins shouldn't be in the NBA, liked him as a Bruin, but not a NBA player.

Oh well, I just wonder if Matt Carroll will get some burn, dude is a knock down shooter.

A trade that has mo impact on either team...lol I think Dallas got the better of the deal by a minimal margin. This also allows Okafor to go back to PF where he is auppose to be. Not bad on wither end.

I like Hollins...he should be a serviceable player if nothing else. Shows good hustle and reminds me of a younger Tyson Chandler...although not as good.

Diop is easily one of the worst contracts in the NBA. I can't believe Dallas found a team stupid enough to take it. They do take on Matt Carroll but that is still $3-4 million saved each year. It's not like either Diop or Carroll would play.

They have almost 25 million invested at Center with Okafor, Mohammed, Diop and the first round pick Ajinca.

Decent move by Dallas I guess. Diop for the MLE was one of the worst moves of the offseason. He has not been the same since the 06/07 season. When they traded him to the Nets last season, he couldn't even win the starting job. The guy has never averaged over 20 mpg for a season, he is nothing but a backup and he isn't even that good of one.

The Mavs have like the most idiotic FO. From Felton, May and Nazr for Diop/Stack to Diop for Carroll and some other scrub. Not that it isn´t an achievement in itself to dump the stupid contract they gave to Diop. How many years does Carroll have left?
