Rockets forward Carl Landry is expected to miss 1-2 weeks after suffering a gunshot wound in his leg.
Houston Rockets forward Carl Landry suffered a gunshot wound to his lower leg early this morning in a possible drive-by shooting or failed robbery near downtown, police said.
Landry, 25, was released after treatment at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. A team spokesman said he suffered a flesh wound and is expected to be out of the lineup for one to two weeks.

Carl was treated and released at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center for a surface wound in his left calf and a dislocated finger on his left hand. X-rays were negative. We expect him to make a full recovery and return in 1-3 weeks.
Wow if he is really out for the season, that is probally it for the Rockets. A couple of thugs can ruin a team's season that quick
It was a rumour, it's not clear yet about how long he will be gone. It should be mentioned that he was very lucky, according to some sources it was multipleshot's the person fired towards Carl but only one hit him, it could have ended VERY bad.
Damn, couldn't happen to a better guy. At least he'll be able to watch the Boilers continue the resurrection of the program.
That was my first thought too, Carl seems to be a very humble and down-to-earth guy and I've had the opportunity to meet him once when I was in Houston with basketballteam, we went to some Rocket-event and Carl seemed to be a very nice guy. At least I'm glad he's ok and he sure thing he had some luck that the other bullets missed him, this could have gone a hell alot worse then it did.
