Default Fans now have one vote in NBA league MVP voting

The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced that, for the first time ever, fans will have the opportunity to help determine the winner of the NBA Most Valuable Player award. Through a dedicated Web page on NBA.com, fans can submit their votes for MVP, ranking their top five choices. The combined fan vote will count as one vote, with the remaining 124 votes coming from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. The 2009-10 NBA Most Valuable Player of the Year Award will be announced following the conclusion of the 2009-10 NBA regular season. Lol, I'd say that's dumb, but it's not like it'll really change anything anyways.

Kobe would win his 2nd NBA MVP trophy because he's the most popular player in Asia and Europe.

1 vote out of 125 ? What's the point of that ?

This will basically just be yet another internet poll on who the MVP is, no different from when ESPN or ISH does it.

So whoever wins the poll gets one vote, from the fans. Great.....1/124. What's that like .8% of the votes?

I would prefer it to be more towards 25%, and we should get a vote on the other awards too (ROY, DPOY, MIP, 6th Man)

I think ISH should get their own vote as well. In fact, we should decide the MVP.
