Boston's Kevin Garnett, who spent many losing years in Minnesota without asking out before finally getting traded to Boston in 2008, seemed to think leaving home might be best for James.
"Loyalty is something that hurts you at times because you can't get youth back," Garnett said, adding that if he'd known how things would be when he got out to Boston, "I'd have done it a little sooner."
There's a big different between their roles though. KG was in a tough Western conference surrounded by scrubs for the most part. Lebron is in a weak (er-than the West by far) and actually has some talent around him. Lebron could actually win in Cleveland. Not to mention Lebron is unlike any other the game has ever seen. KG is one of the GOATs at the 4, but he is not the physical specimen that is Lebron James.
While I was rooting for Boston in this series, it was Cleveland's series to lose. Cleveland beat Cleveland.
Yeah, Lebron already has a talented team in Cleveland. They should get a real PG to speed up the tempo, a new coach, and basically set up their team like the Nuggets. Lebron has more turnovers than anyone in the league, and turnovers killed them today. He shouldn't be their primary ball-handler.
Lebron and Mo both dribble the ball way too much. Way easy to defend. Look at the Lakers, where we can just shoot off the pass.

well considering garnett will go down as a ring chaser that could only win as his teams 3rd best player...
if i were lebron i would probably pass on kg's advice
ofcourse lebron could go join wade and bosh and win a boston'esq title...
but it would be better if he chose a situation that makes him look good...
like chicago. derek rose isnt a huge name yet but plays nearly at the same level as those other guys.
lebron would get all the credit
KG 3rd best player on the Celtics? You know, he's given almost full credit for Boston's defense in 2008. In 2008, he was actually the most consistent. Ray had terrible first two rounds. Pierce only showed up in Game 7 of the Cavs game and the Finals. Rondo was still a sophomore.
The main problem I see isn't Lebron's team in Cleveland, but the city itself. I can't picture the Cavs getting any better because I can't see a player like Bosh or Amare wanting to play in Cleveland (even if they ould afford it).
