Default Tyson Chandler says he is best center in West

Quoting my own report here:

Chandler: When you look at it as a center standpoint, I feel like Im the best center in the West.

To which I followed up and, knowing full well that Chandler could handle this sort of question, jokingly asked: How do you feel your season compares to Yao Mings season?

Chandler: (Laughs) I love Yao, and hes injured so I hate to go there. But I feel like the centers that are playing in the West, Ive had the best year. And Ive had the most impact.

He is playing great this year. And the whole league sucks for centers, not just the west. He might be the best in the west.

put him in the 60's and he'd be the best center of all time.

Sigh.... you know your conference is in big trouble at the 5 - position when Chandler has a case for best center.

28 minutes... okay! 10 points, 9 boards, 1 block? Crap. 66% FG's? That's pretty good. PER of 19. Pretty good.

Bynum is at 24 minutes... okay! 11 points, 7 boards, 1.7 blocks. Meh, but good for four minutes fewer than TyChy. 57% FG's, not quite as good. PER of 20.6, winnar.

I'd take Bynum over him. Way better scoring and Blocking rate per minute.

I don't think that's unreasonable. Other than Nene, I can't think of anyone out there who really deserves it more than him. Bynum if he was healthy, I guess, Duncan if he ever manned up and admitted he was a center.

Which is probably true, that's just how weak the position is.

Not far fetched...he hits FTs at any 80% clip and gets easy baskets. Hope he gave Dirkules a shout out during the interview.

Yeah man, he's balling. Playing alongside Dirkules tends to have that effect...
