Yeah he was pretty much unguardable tonight. Adelman tried 4 different players with Carmelo and no one could stop him. Battier ended up with up 5 fouls, Budinger (back up SF) with 5 fouls, and Hayes (who also tried to guard Anthony) with 3 or 4.
Not sure but is 50 pts his career high?
Edit- Nene didn't start. Chauncey Billups left in the 1st quarter, so the Nuggets were missing some key players. Kenyon Martin was yappin a little too much and Scola got under his skin.
Kevin Martin had 7 points in the first half and finished the game with 30+. Good game but Denver really should have won this one. At home and Carmelo going for 50, that's a must win.

Carmelo's offensive skillset is simply mind blowing. I don't care what his stats are give me him over a lot of players who are rated above him come playoff time, such as Dirk, Dwill, Cp3, Durant, Howard Rose etc.
Melo just not playing motivated that simple. People need to rewatch him in the 08 playoffs. You put Melo on the Knicks, they are giving whoever a run for their money possibly an upset, due to him playing motivated.
So what if Melo doesn't make anyone else better, he is that good offensively that he doesn't need to. He is the only player in the league that can look LeBron James in the eye and go toe to toe with him in an individual matchup, the only player.
