Default Trade to Blazers made Gerald Wallace feel betrayed by Bobcats

“Basically, you feel betrayed by somebody you love,’’ Wallace told the Observer before Saturday’s Blazers-Bobcats game. “I totally didn’t see it coming. I’d been there seven long years and then you feel like you’re not wanted anymore. That’s a bad situation to be in, especially for me, who committed so much to the organization.

Dude should be thanking his lucky stars he got out of that place. He will love it in Portland.

No idea what Jordan was doing with that trade. Did he sniff a can of paint before the trade deadline or what? He could have traded Wallace for so much more, and instead he got next to nothing.

Maybe he loved it there already...?

I don't know... who cares. It's just nice to see a guy with a little commitment to his team and his fans for once, that's all. The lack of commitment in players and teams alike these days is astounding.

That was almost a personal slap from MJ though.

Until one of their evil medical staff slips something into his food that weakens his knee and makes it buckle like a jenga tower.

True, but at this point I don't think anybody, not even the players MJ has in mind when making his deals, can trust Jordan at the helm for any organization. The same guy who drafted Kwame Brown, the same guy who has made questionable decisions season after season...

Understandably he feels a bit betrayed but I think in the long-term a move to Portland will do wonders not only for his chances at playing deep into the post-season but increasing his value when it's time for a new contract.
