Re: Lawrence Frank may get Pistons job, but Knicks like him as assistant coach
The Knicks can flex their financial muscle and give Frank a nice one year deal....even at lower tier head coach money. There's no salary cap on coaching spending.
Does Frank really want to coach the dysfunctional Pistons in Detroit? Ugh....be the lead assistant on the high profile Knicks and get to live at home in Jersey.

Pistons are going to replace one guy who caused a mutiny for a guy who caused a mutiny on his own team a few years ago? Joe D you need to not make this mistake.
And NY aint getting this guy unless they give him head coach money. He can do the asst. coach thing for Boston. If he goes to NY D'antoni will undermine his efforts at every turn, and kill his rep in the process (whats left of it)

That would be awesome to get him in NY. I just hope Dolan doesn't cheap out on the offer. Btw, Frank's family lives in New Jersey apparently, so that could be a huge motivator.

He'd be a very good assistant coach for us. get him and make Budenholzer our head coach and I will be willing to wait until 2012 to watch the Knicks play

He'd leave Boston for NY. His family is in NY, and remember, in NY if he does well there is a chance he gets the HC job if D'Antoni is fired. Going back to Boston gives no chance of getting promoted.
