Re: Lawrence Frank may be the next Detroit Pistons head coach
Wow, can this team make any dumber moves? This team has completely collapsed since they traded Billups for Iverson. Dumars must be doing heavy crack now a days.
Re: Lawrence Frank may be the next Detroit Pistons head coach
Coulda done a lot worse. Like has been said, Harris looked like a future perennial all-star in Frank's Princeton type offense in Jersey, Knight's a somewhat similar player.
Still waiting on Ewing to finally get his chance though, and Laimbeer to a lesser degree.
Re: Lawrence Frank may be the next Detroit Pistons head coach
Probably one of the best decisions in years for the Pistons. Frank is a very intelligent basketball coach and he is great with players. Pistons will be a much more focused and improved team next year.

Kuester II
I think Pistons needed to bring in someone who commands instant respect, to get the veterans to play nice with the youngins. Not sure if Frank is that guy.
Lawrence Frank seems like someone who would come across GREAT on interviews. He's very confident when he talks. Natural way about him. Just not sure he's a great head coach. I wanted him to our Knick defensive specialist though. That appears to be his strength.

I wouldn't call him a defensive specialist, knicks had a chance to go @ thibodeau but let the bulls beat them to the punch.
Re: Lawrence Frank may be the next Detroit Pistons head coach
I hate the Pistons, but I like Frank a lot. Maybe if they get rid of the dead wood and players I really dislike, I might be able to root for the Pistons again, finally.
Re: Lawrence Frank may be the next Detroit Pistons head coach
He's probably the 2nd best coach available right now (behind Adelman and not counting Jackson), which is kinda sad... much better than Woodson IMO. But not a good fit for that roster, unless Dumars makes some serious moves.
If I was in charge of Detroit I'd really look into Bouldenhozier (spelling?) from SA. Could be a really good head coach.
It's a shame, I really wanted him to be the Knicks defensive assistant. Would've been perfect. Still a chance though. If NY pays him well I could see him taking that over Detroit. Closer to his family, better team and less pressure.

Nah....he won't. He's not going to pass up a head coaching opportunity, even if its a bad one. Frank is trying to establish himself as a Head coach in the league for a long time. If he has to take a bottom rung Head coaching job, he's going to do that.
But worth a try if you're Dolan....throw some money at him.
