Default Heroes of Might and Magic III

I just wanted to create a thread to on of the best games EVER created. It was just so polished, finished, I could say perfect. I just played Heroes 6, and I was amazed it only have ~6 maps?!? Heroes 3 had TONS of it, like 100 or close to it. AI was unpredictable, and how much fun it was when friends came over and we played it like 5 hours straight...good times.
lost of factions, not like heroes 6 with 4 or 3...

I remember playing Heroes 1 and 2 in high school. Never got to play 3 but maybe because I was playing Half life or Starcraft.

I love playing as the monsters in Heroes 1, and then jack up the game speed.... every battle would be like:

Booo! Boooo! BOOOO! Boooo! BOOOOO! (die)

Come to think of it I might go and search for some abandonware for this tonight.

I haven't played a Heroes game since 4 and I didn't play that one very much. Is 6 worth giving a shot?

When it comes to these turn-based battle and exploration games, the new King's Bounty series is as addictive as any game I've played in the last couple years.

HoMM 2 and 3 were some of my favs of all time, the music, the gameplay, everything was amazing...i remember even making my own lord of the rings inspired custom maps and stuff....

After 3 it kinda went downhill imo and 6 doesn't look promising either...
