Default Some quick questions about buying a PC game

I'm interested in buying NBA 2K12 for the PC so I can play it at work, but I have a laptop, which is a Samsung R480. Here are some questions I have that I'd appreciate anyone with the answers to inform me on:

1) Will the game actually work on a laptop? (This might be a stupid question, but I've never played a PC game before, so I don't know how it'll work)

2) Will I need a controller or will the laptop's keypads work?

3) Do I need any special programs on my laptop in order to run this game (or any other games for that matter) or is it simply just put the game into the laptop & it'll start up?

If someone can answer these questions for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks ahead of time.

If anyone is wondering how I'm supposed to be playing this at work, I'm a security guard at a warehouse where my only duty is checking trucks into and out of the warehouse, and there is plenty of down time throughout the day. That's how I'm able to post on this site without being at home. In fact, I don't even use this internet much unless I'm at work.

I'm almost positive you'll have really low fps on an i3 machine with igp. It will run, but the actual gameplay is going to feel choppy.
