The U510 you linked has core i7 and a nvidia 625M.. will it have the same graphics card but with an i5?

Honestly.. even with the same graphics, you have to go with the i7 (Lenovo U410 ) and the little downgrade with the 610M.

The asus has no dedicated graphics card.. definitely a few notches below.

Post the prices for each..

Honestly.. these are pretty shitty deals. You should wait for better ones.

I bought this laptop [link] at Staples for just ~820 (tax included). It was on sale to begin with, and there was a coupon that took off 10% or so that same week.

Can you afford to wait? Or do you need it asap?

I need it quick. My old one died last week (right now I borrow the laptop I use at my job).

I'll rank them:

1. U410 (best battery life, cpu and dedicated graphics)
2. Asus (mainly because of price and build quality/brand)
3. U510

Those laptops all look like good choices. If I was in the market for a new laptop, I would probably end up with lenovo or asus.

I wont need a laptop for a long time because of random events that recently replaced my old laptop with a brand new macbook pro 15" retina. This computer is the ferrari of laptops, it is just crazy how fast everything happens. The build quality and craftmanship is impeccable, the chinese child factory worker that put together this metal and glass macbook was truly an artist.

Sadly I mainly use this amazing sex machine of a computer to read long pdf text and browse reddit.

This picture is not me, but thats how I look when I thank baby jesus for giving me the macbook pro retina that I absolutley do not need

I have a Lenovo Ideapad U and it's probably one of my favorite ultrabooks. It's not as thin as a macbook air or Asus Zenbook, but still a lot lighter/thinner than the conventional laptop. It's build quality feels great, and you don't know how many compliments I get for this thing looking like a Macbook Pro. It's insanely fast but quiet. I'm too lazy to look up Benchmarks. But the main reason I got it wasn't just for the looks, I wanted an ultrabook with a hybrid hard drive and Ethernet Port. ASUS laptops have premium build qualities as well. Can't go wrong with either.

I don't get all the hate on Windows 8. 99% of the people who proclaim to hate Windows 8 and constantly bitch about it on the internet, have never used it.
It works exactly like Windows 7, with a fancier start menu. Most of the other changes are under the hood: everything is faster, context menus are more useful, dialogs (especially copying/deleting etc) are far more informative, and the task manager is significantly better. Most noticeably was the boot time. Insanely fast, under 10 seconds.
