Default Would you have the guts to bring Pierce off the bench?

Honestly the Celtics would be better with Pierce coming off the bench. He's one of those guys that needs a lot of touches to do anything meaningful, and when you have a good team there are too many other guys in the starting lineup that need touches too. But on the 2nd team you can get away with having one guy as the designated scorer while everyone else just hustles and your starters rest. That's how ginobili and terry and barbosa and nocioni get used and more teams are starting to take one guy with dominant scoring ability and rotating him in to keep the units balanced.

That role would seem perfect for Pierce, because he wants to be the one to score every time, so just stick him with the 2nd unit and let him do that. He would be much better off as the lead man of the 2nd team and keeping the bench unit explosive than taking touches away from the C's starting unit.

But of course no coach in the league would have the stones to do that if they were in Doc's position. Pierce probably couldnt handle it the way the aforementioned guys could and so many fans would be upset and it could turn into a mess. But if it worked it could be the move that puts them over the hump.

How many here would agree with that move and have the gonads to make it?

Good thing your not coach celtics have 3 losses and you think they need a change. First off they only lost because billups exploited Rondo. If anything they should have took rondo out of the game and stuck peirce as point guard. For that game or something like that.

dude the Pistons didnt even play good at all for 90% of that game and they still won. If you think this Boston team the way they are now is gonna win the East, let alone the Finals (LOL) you are muy retardo.
