Official PimpCast: Hornets vs. Lakers, 4/11/08, 7:30PM PST, Staples Center
Hi Everyone,
VS.
7:30PM PST // 10:30PM EST
Television: Fox Sports West, NBA League Pass
Radio: LA Laker Radio Station
Season Record vs. Hornets: 1 - 2
This is the official gamecast for the Hornets vs. the Lakers.
Could there be any more critical of a game than the one being played tonight. If the Lakers lose, they expose themselves to dropping a spot in their division. If they win, the come one step closer to taking over the top spot in the Western Conference. Its just crazy, yet exciting!
The Lakers took care of business last night, however, they were off to a slow start once again. I was pleased with the attention they paid to defense as they were quick on rotations and put in a genuine effort. They will need it as a tune up for a much, much better team in the Hornets.
I do believe that the Lakers match up well against the Hornets, however. They have played them tough all year, and the last game they played was very winnable, despite Gasol going down. Lets hope they bring some playoff focus and intensity tonight!

last nights game was like an evening shoot-a-round for the lakes so being tired shouldn't be an issue, spurs are in 3rd place now with the lakers half a game up into second... lot's riding on tonights game, should be no lacking of motivation for the guys...
come on lakes, lets win this thing going away secure at least 2nd place and win kobe an MVP trophy

This game will be the revealing factor in what type of team we have.
There is no doubt that the lakers hold the talent to beat not only N.O. but arguably any team in the league. Yet what is in doubt, is their ability to harness and deliver the talent and intencity that they have shown before.
Today they demostrate how they will react when the pressure is on. The way they play today, I think, will be a great indicator of how they will perform in the playoffs.
I hope that they compete and keep it close. If they loose by a small margin, that's fine, as long as they play up to the competitions standard.
