These are the sum of two trades rumors that have been repeated by all beat reporters in the league and have yet to be shrugged off by either the Grizzlies or the Knicks.
There's no way that these two teams can share that much stupidity is there?
That would be rediculous for Portland. #13 -> #5 and #27 -> #6, and all they lose is a defensive center (who I like quite a bit, but not enough to renig this deal) and a combo guard who leads the league in assists and turnovers off the bench.
-Memphis is in the words of one NBA executive “doing everything in their power to trade their pick.” The team doesn’t have any real preference regarding where they are heading in, as they are “calling everybody in the league,” looking to move up or down, trying to get veterans primarily, while also possibly trying to move down. One trade that they reportedly offered was Mike Conley to Portland in exchange for the #13 pick, Sergio Rodriguez and Travis Outlaw. Another offer was to Detroit: the #5 and filler for Rodney Stuckey, which was rejected. If Memphis keeps the pick, we’re hearing they like Eric Gordon, as well as Kevin Love.
Mike conley in portland would be money.
Detroit is crazy if they rejected stuckey for #5.
As of now both of those are rumors, and I don't get how the 2 deals put together form the rumor you claim. The David Lee deal would have given the Knicks the 5th pick from Memphis so they woudl have had the 5th and 6th picks. How does that translate into the Blazers getting both picks?
