A collection of some of his best clips from collecting over the years. That pull up jumper is a work of art. RIP Mr. West

Huh? Every team. We're not talking old, veterans at the end of the bench. We're talking starting 5.

Well, I'm not arguing that longevity never existed. I guess I misunderstood you. My point was that it wasn't used as the predominant narrative to claim GOAT status.
Also, I clearly remember Bird and Magic being above Kareem in the early to mid 90s. I remember a segment on NBA on NBC where they mentioned the top 4 being MJ, Russell, Magic, and...

Horford’s main value isn’t from shooting. He’s significantly more impactful than old Ray Allen. I think old Ray gets overrated to hell because of his clutch shot, Chalmers, Birdman and Battier were more important to those Heat teams.

I think I worded that badly. Let me rephrase. When I say "inflated", I don't mean their numbers are spectacular. I mean the numbers look better than they would be in other eras.
Jrue's career high in 3pt% came this year - at age 33 - in what is now his 15th season in the league.
Horford has been in the league since 2008. He's in his 17th...

Redick would be like when Brooklyn hired Nash and Kidd before. Certainly smart and knowledgeable about the game but with no coaching experience. I don't believe in just Making a guy an NBA head coach. Should be an assistant first to learn a bit more about the job. If he is their coach next year with James and Davis he's going to be the shipping...

It will definitely happen one day involving a team's star getting injured/suspended and/or the other team's star returning from suspension/injury.

Not having Porzingis bothers me but I have faith in the Celtics leadership. JB seems well suited to the role and Horford has always been a good guy to have around.

Sure about Mavs, they’re not the spurs. Do keep in mind even without the injuries Celtics are winning and also they didn’t have porzingis.
Jrue/white/horford don’t have eye popping numbers so I disagree there. They’re guys who are just significantly better on both sides of the ball. White and holiday are top 50 players easily, all-nba...

IMHO, longevity these days is a result of improved medical, training, technology, rule changes, etc. over past eras in ALL sports.
In tennis, it was usual before early 2000s for players to retire in early 30s. Then came the era of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic where they all won over 20 Grand Slams while playing against each other when before...

I grew up in the 80s and once Kareem retired.the scoring record became his public basketball identity. Just because they didn't refer to it as longevity yet doesn't mean that's not what it was. And if longevity NEVER mattered, why wasn't Walton higher in the goat list? His short run is considered high peak basketball as well yet im not sure hes...

It's Philly. They're gonna have a stacked roster this year that can match the Celtics in talent. Embiid is a bad matchup for the Celtics.

I don't think that was ever a serious possibility. Luka doesn't have prime Lebrons motor. Hell, he doesn't have current Lebron's motor.

Vice has been doing this since Dark Side of The Ring, which covers pro wrestling, has been doing very well. They have already done football one. Basketball obviously is another good subject to do the same.

How? When was this the case? It wasn't the case in 1980 when Russell was voted as the GOAT. It wasn't the case when Kareem retired. It wasn't the case through the 90s or the 2000s.
I mean sure, there might have been some fans discussing it and maybe even a media mention, but there was never a serious discussion or a dominant narrative that put...

2024 Boston might be the most boring team ever.
Shame they're going to win. Feels like no one cares.
I'm sure a narrative of painting Tatum better than he is will begin.

Three years later at age 26, he's the best playmaker on the team. Don't commit to what a player will be at age 22-23.
