Of course no one gives a shit about older players going forward.
Shaq turned into snaq by 04/05. That’s around 20 YEARS ago now.
They just know him and Barkley as the funny and mumbley guys on inside.
That’s why letiny will be forgotten long before people here want to admit. He’ll been seen as just a stat whore like wilt basically.. the...

He’s just so boring to watch..
Doesn’t sound like it’s just me either, has anyone seriously even been watching boston these playoffs?
It’s not about hate, it’s just a nothing when it comes to Tatum and Brown:confusedshrug:

A day or two ago an argument after the fact was going on about whether or not Jaylen Brown was worth his deal. I was on the opposite side of where I'm about to be in this discussion. Honestly I wouldn't want him at all. Hes an All-Star but he misses a lot of games and then when you're in the playoffs He's had a lot of bad moments. The Clippers...

Nah but if he wins 3-4 with this core while being an all nba defender and top 3 mvp candidate he certainly will be near top 7 imo

I doubt they mean GOAT in terms of who the actual greatest player of all time is by any meaningful metric/data points or impact. They are probably rating the "GOAT" based on who their favorite player is.

Everyone has their flaws in terms of being an ATG, but to divorce context from the reality would be unfair. Hakeem had a lot of issues with the front office and ownership in his years prior to the championship seasons, and it wasn't a pleasant mix to say the least.
That being said, Hakeem missed 12 games in the '92 season. Houston was only 2-10...

A friend of mine is the same. He even calls the guys greatest, but his GOATs are all players he emulated his style after.
He has takes like "Kareem can't be top 10, because he can't shoot pull up jumpers".

I know Durant is a bit of a stretch but who cares? It's a subjective subject and quite frankly it's nice to have new unadulterated eyes being the judge. When I was these kids age Wilt was considered the greatest of all time so it shows how nostalgia greatly diminishes in time.

It started by getting rid of Tobias Harris. He's the number one reason the Sixers can't get over that hump.

Tatum needs 95 points in the Finals to pass Kobe Bryant for most postseason points scored before the age of 27. Just passed Lebron James.

Didn't you say Miami would beat them even without Jimmy Butler? You Celtic haters can't stop melting down. It's unfortunate and unfair that opposing teams lost stars but that's part of the game and I don't recall the Celtics being cut any slack when they lost Hayward and Irving. Did anyone have sympathy the season jayson tatum had to take on KD...

The triangle can definitely work today. Like with any system, you need the correct personnel. It sacrifices spacing for offensive rebounding and quick passing and cutting opportunities in the paint. It's also more dynamic and naturally blends in isolation plays.
It's also not rigid; it can fit perimeter players as well as post-up bigs. The...

Agreed. He's never had a good enough mid-range shot or a deep enough bag to thrive in a triple-post offense. The Triangle crowds the paint and LeBron doesn't do well when he lacks space. Shai, Kawhi, Luka, Kyrie, etc would all do well.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say every single game boston has played this playoff hasn’t been a good watch for an objective basketball viewer (no team involved in the series just trying to catch a good game viewer)

It's genuinely an embarrassment the path the Celtics have had to the finals. Something has to be changed to prevent this happening again. It makes the whole playoffs a farce.

Except down the stretch of close games when Russ was nowhere near a top 5-10 level player, even in his prime. Just the opposite. He was like the anti Luka/Kyrie. An absolute liability guaranteed to **** it up when things got tight.

Kyrie has been great. I agree on the on paper thing but Dallas role players have shown some grit. It feels like they are playing at a sum better than their parts at the moment and clicking a bit. I really like their format of good athleticism and defense paired with luka and kyrie being the closers. That combo is pretty insane when it’s down the...

Had a title run with OKC when he was 23, wins title in most other years.
Averaged 35/11/8 vs Bucks in 21 and likely wins title if Irving isn't hurt
And now he's just old. You put 25 year old KD with current Irving and solid role players and it's an easy title run.
