I'm curious what you base that on. If it's him winning with the least talented supporting cast, I'd agree with that. But if it's based off performance, no way in HELL was Curry better than Jokic, while Giannis has a clear advantage to me too. I feel you could also make genuine arguments for Kawhi & LeBron/AD as well, though I understand the L.A....

Disagree. While the Democratic and Republican politicians are pretty similar the voter bases are different.

Good comparison tbh. Tatum and Brown are like two pippens. As we all know Pippen was the engine that made winning chips possible.

A decoy for who?.. Pippen had 7 points in Game 5 and didn't play in Game 6..
False narrative... it was a 1-man team

So did Middletown, Klay, Wiggins or Murray - MJ won 6 with this caliber a sidekick (6/6)
And if you add together Tatum and Brown's Finals stats, you get Jordan's 93' stats and nearly 92'
So it's not the same thing - Pippen is 0/6 in FMVP so he never reached Brown's caliber and he never commanded defensive attention like a true 1st option...

All a team is, is a unit composed of individual players.
I’ll give guys on the team benefit of the doubt in most situations but there becomes a point where you need to take off the homer goggles and start to be real.

PG was a top 3 MVP vote in OKC the year before his injury too.
Tatum is better (by a solid amount), but in terms of career arc and role, I feel they are similar.

Pierce made 1 conference finals granted with a pretty weak roster(rest of East was weak too). I would hold back on calling him a franchise player. Once KG came in he was the guy. Allen had more success as lead guy than Pierce thought he had better rosters. One conference finals one 2nd rd exit in the west

Not sure about Ray Allen. Not too much success there on his own.
Pierce for sure, and even Melo, were more franchise level players. Tatum, I don't know, has a different approach.

Definitely not but I also have Curry in my top 10. He’s definitely in the higher end of the top 10 though just because a ton of the top 10 were non shooting centers (Wilt, Kareem, Hakeem, Shaq, Russell, Duncan who is basically a center)

I guess Indy George is a fair comparison. He was a top 10 lock those years just not in mvp convo. Tatum is similar

I'll admit I didn't watch too much Paul Pierce or Ray Allen, but I do remember that Paul Pierce was a very clear cut franchise player in a way that Tatum isn't. Win or lose, it was on Pierce. Tatum is more like PG, an elite role player.

I feel like a lot of people here must be relying on the statistics of regular season Tatum.
Have you ever really watched Tatum in the playoffs and thought “I’d call it a tossup between him and Pierce or Allen in terms of who Id want in a series?”
I dunno. To me I’m taking Pierce and Allen easily over Tatum.
But I tend to value playoff...
