He grimaced top of the 4th or end of 3rd Quarter.
He was taken out and didn't go back in long long time.
Luka's knee as I predicted may not last entire NBA Finals.
even that last 2 pt missed floater 8 feet from rim had no lift in his knee.

I'd say Brown thus far after game 1, but could definitely see KP sneaking out back with it if he comes out every game this way. We'll see who plays well in Dallas.

Celtics are hated for the same way LAL are loved.
No franchise has destroyed NBA more than LAL.
The way LAL stole everyone from 90s bulls. triangle offense to Harper to rodman to Phil to assistant coaches.

The ECF was the first real instance where they gave it to the guy that had more impact than the guy who had better numbers. Tatum averaged 30/10/6, but Jaylen was more impactful while averaging half the numbers.

watch out for Mavs in Game 2

Luka's knee might be done though.

I don't understand how Tatum is Parker... or how the Celtics are bad for basketball... but I'm in a good mood so whatever.

It was absolutely necessary, America had no idea the NBA finals were even happening, and now the entire nation is glued to the television to see if Bron's praise for Irving will be enough to propel this Mavericks team to victory.
Youre ****ing welcome.

Yea, come to think of it there have been lots of shitty game 1's lately. This one in particular was just a blowout from the beginning, Mavs did make it interesting at one point, but it was short lived.

But you're doing exactly that when you say a certain style is suboptimal despite it proving successful and resulting in multiple championship parades. What's optimal for one team/player may not be for another. Personnel matters, just because Mj was fruitless with that style doesn't mean it's suboptimal when we clearly saw Lebron have the most...

Porzingis' phenomenal play in the 1H was a statement. The Mavs defeated the Wolves in part by over-guarding ANT. With Porzingis scoring, the message was 'overguard our best players at your own risk'. Because the other guys can beat you. The fact that White, Horford, Hauser were hot early on just sealed that point. You can't guard everyone and...

Celtics are an impressive team, congrats.
Very bad for basketball, but they're a well oiled machine.
What I didn't understand is that Brown is actually Kawhi, not PG.
Tatum is Tony Parker, but Brown is Kawhi and Horford is old man Duncan.
I didn't understand that, my bad. That sure changes things a lot.

Its not hard to peak for 1 series. Theyre playing with house money.
They struggled to beat the Haliburton-less Pacers.
If they do end up winning this, def the least impressive Champion in my lifetime.

Easily......imo
my money is on Mavs for Game 2 win.
29 pt lead is not safe in this ZERO defensive era.
I just dont understand how Luka can slow motion right hand dribble to the rim with no weak side strip or help.
I am calling it now. there wont be 29 pts lead by celtics in game 2. Mavs win by 5 pts in Game 2. series even 1-1.

It feels wrong to say any one particular Celtic was the MVP of this game because this game was really won by the defense, credit for which could go to a few different guys. But if I had to make a call on it Porzingis and Brown would share honors. Before KP entered the game it was a game and in the maybe 8 minutes(?) he played when he first...

IMO the biggest difference today was Brown on Doncic. Along with Celts sticking to their man on D.
Against the Timberwolves, Doncic could back down Conley and McDaniels (who despite 6'9" has a high center of gravity and Doncic could move him). Against ANT, Doncic would do a step back 3.
He couldn't back down Brown as easily and Brown...

Luka with one assist. That's wild.
Boston did an absurd job defensively. I expect the Mavs and particularly Kyrie to make more open shots next time, which might change the C's tune a bit and make them play tighter. But their game plan was sound.
Tatum will play better next time too. Game 2 will be fun.
