They got away with so much of it throughout the game though. It's fine if both teams are allowed to defend the same way but it seemed like Boston got away with a lot more in those situations, but you're right about the Mavs shooting themselves in the foot, should have still been in a position to win this.

You hate him and have been talking trash his entire career. His team is two wins away from achieving the greatest dreams of their career and here you are, still hating. First team AllNBA, Olympian, a million commercials, and now possibly going to achieve every players ultimate goal. Deal with it.

And Zingis just got hurt...

Kidd needs to be a little more casual with it though. He was too obvious with his "Brown is the best player" remarks.
Talk about how he thought his team did a marvelous job of forcing Tatum to be pedestrian etc. Puff up Brown's driving ability. Don't talk about who is the best player. Just exclusively focus on Brown's strengths and Tatum's...

I said Ingram is more skilled as an offensive player which is pretty obvious to anyone who knows ball. Him having terrible injury luck & worse teammates does not change that.

wasnt LBJ trash too in 2016 NBA Finals down 0-2.
Luka was better than LBJ here and they still lost.

Officiating was terrible. There was a point in the third where White threw up a prayer as the clock was expiring. It hit the backboard but not the rim. Tatum came up with it and got an and one. Three point swing there on a totally obvious shot clock violation that no-one even mentioned,
Whites block at the end when they were down by five...

If Luka deserved FMVP......
this was the game.
He was on course for 50 pts game the way how open court offense is played these days...
You score 23 at half. You end up with 31. You dont deserve FMVP.
Luka got extra day break rest btw game 1 and game 2.

More and more I think it's a bad idea to assume a guy is just in his head, and the real credit should go to holiday and White but I wonder.. how badly does Kyrie Irving want to come back to Boston? He's got a pretty wife, nice family, millions of dollars, could have a great vacation anywhere in earth except for Russia... why come back here and...

I think Dallas can absolutely win at home. Kidd needs to keep fueling the fire to incite Tatum's ego. Talk up Jrue Holiday's game tonight, Derrick White's defense, and Jalen Brown's - their best player - game-clinching shot.

It's impressive how they held the mavs again to below 100. And kyrie? Now 0-15 against boston since three years ago. :oldlol:
I like him to win but how the hell is he going to win the finals mvp if he's mediocre due to his idol kobe-esque playstyle? He's clearly just not going to cut it that way.

He and White, two god-tier roleplayers, make this Celtics team/system a threat to win it all. It is absolutely not because they are 5 out, absolutely not because Brown and Tatum are scary elite, so on and so forth. One of these guys alone is enough to move the needle much less 2 of them.
Holiday and White by themselves provide them such a...

I don't think Tatum has a big ego, his role is to score, he's gonna be aggressive. He took one shot I thought was ill-advised the entire game, sometimes you just miss.

Bucks got a lot better offensively because of that trade but we never got to see their full potential with the injuries & coaching changes. Giannis needed another reliable option on offense and someone who could help him close games, Jrue wasn't that guy. Holiday is also too old to be a #2 on a title team at this point but he's perfect for a team...
