Why are you calling them stars? That term only exists so that they can be manipulated to tell a narrative favored by the network that paid billions to broadcast NBA games.

you're not arguing that steph is the MVP right now, right? i think he's high impact and the goat shooter. and understand he gets a lot of bs flack. still not MVP though.

after an entire 2020 year of calling up g-league players and purposely tanking, the only conclusion we have come to agree on is Stephen Curry, Wiggins Bazemore, Oubre and #2 overall pick were only good enough to elevate the Warriors from 15th seed to 11th seed.

Typically thought of as a scrub (although he can shoot), Olynyk's been tearing up the nets with Houston, just check his split w/ team - 58% fg, 39% 3pt, 89% ft, 8 reb, 3 ast, 17 pts

If you can show they were sub-20 win teams without their stars than you have argument. If not it is just speculation and blather.
Steph's team last year was the worst in the league. That's simply a fact. He's dragging them up to close to a .500 record despite missing more than a tenth of the season. Not many cases where that's happened.

Yeah at your age and history it’s not worth the risk to screw around. Got my Johnson and Johnson shot couple days ago. Takes 2 weeks but so far just a bruised area where I was given the needle.

i haven't watched many spurs games, but from the outside looking in it seemed like alrdidge never "fit" in. with portland he had more of the lionshare offensively, but here popovich neutered him in a way. lma wasn't terrible or anything although it didn't seem like he was impacting games as frequent.

nobody is arguing they weren't good without pippen. what he provided though made them a contender - hence not being swept. the games were in 99/2000 and are posted online. maybe you need a memory refresher because the numbers simply corroborate what we saw.
a hofer and all-nba defender made portland tougher. no myths needed.

When did that happen??
If Curry was so confident in himself and the team, why the need to recruit KD for the entire 2016 season? Why was he doubting his championship team moving forward?

Dude there's players this year that's taking similar caliber rosters as far or further. Ja in mephis, trae in atlanta, knicks, hornets. None of these teams are good.
Shit up until this year greeks bucks aren't anything special without him and he always leads his teams to good records.
And brons early cle team was never any better than this...

But it is. The main additions to the team are Oubre and Wiseman. With them on, the team's net ratings get dragged down dramatically.
Net rating
Steph, Dray, Wiggins; no Wiseman or Oubre +24.9
Steph, Dray, Wiggins, Wiseman, Oubre -13.0

This year's team without Steph is basically last year's team or maybe even worse if you look at what the additions are doing. So Steph + 15-win team = a projected 34-win team this year despite missing several games? Steph is good for a 19 game improvement in shortened seasons? Steph has more of an effect on wins than the rest of his team combined?...

That's right, I forgot. Every award that Steph doesn't win is because there manipulated to tell a narrative favored by the network that paid billions to broadcast NBA games.
How did last years GS team get inserted to the convo? You specified this years GS team.
you...... LeBron for example has never taken an objectively worse team...

What a disappointing thread.
I was thinking it was going to ask something along the lines of watermelon? banana? canteloupe?
But instead we get this tired boring way of looking at things.
Pass.
