I finally watched enough of Luka this post-season and finals.
Luka is a guy who needs "dominant big man", NBAs best for lob passes and All-Defensive rim protector. AD is that guy.
Luka lacks conditioning and stamina. Strength is NOT an issue for his 6'7" wide body frame. He still got his 29 PPG in finals.
LBJ's conditioning, PEDs workout...

The Celtics are stacked. If Tatum plays well (for a 1st team all NBA player) in the playoffs next year and the rest of the guys play decent they will be right back here again next year.
Their fourth best player is Jrue or Porzingus. On any other team they would be at worst the third most impactful player. And then you have super duper role...

They beat the next two champions and were able to rebuild their dynasty team with bench guys like Payton, Looney, Poole, Kuminga, and Lee. But even if you want to downgrade them because Murray was out...doesn't compare to Boston, Lakers, and Raptors runs which was dominated by players that didn't play. As well as all the injuries that devastated...

This is very true. He was much better in the Thunder series than what will be remembered by the stat sheet.

Yep and that asterisk isn't much of an asterisk. KD missed basically the whole series but Klay played 5/6 games and played really well. It's not like a Warriors team without KD never won a title. The Warriors were favored over the Raptors and if they won everyone would have called them deserving champs.
Ditto for Bucks who were dominant all...

Watch the games he set the tone defensively for the entire team that series and was great facilitating the offense
Kyrie had by far the best on/off on the entire team this playoffs for Dallas he had an incredible playoffs minus a couple of bad shooting nights against the Celtics

It honestly feels like kind of a weird hire, given the situation theyre in with Lebron and AD in win now mode and Redick having no experience. And especially with Lebron being older than Redick. I think the thing that has usually chapped Lebron about his coaches throughout his career is he's basically never had a coach who at that time could match...

Am I really the only one who thinks the Warriors are the worst team of this grouping by a clear margin? After Steph who else is on that team? Wiggins is nice and played his best ball that year, then you have Klay & Dray who are still quality starters but clearly past their primes. Then who, Jordan Poole? Some solid role players in...

Tatum couldn't finish at the rim the entire series.
Also got burned over and over by Luka.
Where as Brown finished strong at the rim and contained Luka.

when you are still 13 years of age.
thinking you actually won the ring for the team with just a "close out" game.
thank god a 39%FG shooter isn't the FMVP. in today's day and age of wide-open offensive lanes. and you are 6'8".
Jaylen atleast shot 44%FG.

Tatum is that rare superstar that can positively impact the game even when his shot doesn't fall. The man is getting near triple doubles, 30 point games and winning a championship in a postseason where many of you are talking about how bad he played. What are teams going to do when he's hitting shots at a high level?

Do we rank the team that actually played in the playoffs, which was mostly without KP? Or do we consider the full squad that was this year's team, including KP?
Clearly they were a very strong team even without him, and made a run through the playoffs and won a championship with him being largely absent from the court. And sure, maybe taking...

All of the greats are allowed 1 bad series e.g LeBron in 2011 & Kobe in 04
Kyrie was a top 5 player in the playoffs over the first three rounds so he gets a pass especially going up against one of the best defensive back courts in NBA history

They werent a monster team at all.
Many teams have many stars and dont gel much and prove to be a powerhouse and the same goes for those Sixers who were nice but def not some uber team.

The best is between the Lakers and Celtics, while the Bucks are probably the worst.
Skip constantly screaming 'Mickey Mouse ring' has made that Lakers team very underrated. Lebron averaging 28/11/9 in the playoffs on 56% shooting while being one of the greatest leaders of all time and AD averaging 28/10 on 57% while playing like a dpoy on the...

LALs BUBBLE ring is at bottom of the history of the NBA championships.
That 2020 ring is so bad, it even embarasses 2012 and 1999 shortened seasons MIA and SAS rings

also, add Draymond Suspension that literally KILLED the GSW momentum after going up 3-1.
That suspension should've been overturned knowing how the whole incident went.

The Sixers had like 4 All Stars, Embiid, and Jimmy Butler. That was a monster team. They would've won the title if not for Kawhi putting up a MJ Stateline and that clutch bucket in Game 7. Bucks were obviously very formidable as well and were up 2-0 before getting backdoor swept. The Warriors injuries put an asterisk on the Finals but their path...
